Something tells me we are landing Buddy Love sometime in the next 24 hours.
I'm listening to a guy right now who says they HAD to move one or the other to be able to extend Fox soon. Not for the cap, but in terms of REAL money.

Don't forget the 2 pick swaps!!!
It's quite a haul.

My guess is this keeps Giannis for two years. He'll sign the Supermax and run it back twice to see if they chip.
I’m not in the “do something” club because I like where Dallas is at, if/when healthy, in terms of their depth but acknowledge that they need to get better at the starting positions outside of Luka and KP...that said, there was a lot of movement today that Dallas could not have been a part of (Jrue) but other moves (Covington) that they could’ve beat, so there’s definitely something going on, whether it happens or not remains to be seen

How could they have beaten the Covington deal? They got TWO first round picks!
You want them to trade #18 and a 2025 1st for him? Seems crazy to me, and I'm not even sure it's a better offer.
It's not. Portland's pick is #16 this year > Dallas #18. And next year's draft is suppose to be stacked.
Seems like the Kings could have done better there.

I would bet against both of this swaps happening, even if Giannis leaves.
Going to catch some Z's and dream; hope I wake up to Mavs grabbing Bradley Beal. Night Comrades.

Just a theory but the reason I say in the next 24 hours... I think the Kings have decided they want to get someone to play with Fox. I have no idea which lotto guy that is... But I think it's asset accumulation to move up in the lottery type move.
That with the money thing... That makes alot of sense.

Whoops, I thought it was a swap next year...got that from the Holiday trade I guess
Yes, a 2021 first is hard to beat from the sounds of what that class is expected to be like, and it would have been hard to beat that offer.
IF Kings aren't trading Buddy... their front office continues to be an absolute joke. This is a backwards move for them.
Buddy is going to be 28 in exactly a month.
You are getting worse and not better and you weren't good enough last year.
You coming back next year with Buddy at 29 and Fox on a big $ rookie extension? And another middling 1st?
Take that back. That's the exact type of garbage move Sacramento does. Buddy is probably staying right where he is.
Well, I think we'll soon find out if the Mavs' 2021 plan was ALL about Giannis, or if they still like their chances to use the space effectively.
If it was 100% Giannis or bust, they'll start making some moves.

Donnie and Cuban are probably waiting for 6pm ET on Friday Nov 20th. Can't talk to free agents before then. Against the rules.

(For noobs like me, it's not a typo. Hield goes by "Buddy Love" on Twitter.)
Almost no one is paying attention to this. That's because the Mavs cannot yet be called a "Western Conference contender." Crap, with the stuff going on, Luka would have to play his ass off for us to have first round home court advantage.
Hield is one of the guys I would give up 18 for, but if such a deal happens, no way are you done.

With KP missing time to start the season, we are looking at the 6-8th seed if we are lucky. Hield isn't without warts but of the names that often comes up, I guess he's my favorite though I kind of wish we would have had talks about Bogdan.
Hield kind of feels like a Jason Terry type move so maybe that's a good omen? I'm also curious what other Western Conference contenders could be vying for him? Could the Lakers work out a KCP S&T/Kuzma deal? Would the Clippers be interested? I'd say no to the Nuggets, Jazz, Suns and Blazers.

I think he makes the most sense for Dallas if he's moving. Maybe the Lakers. Maybe New Orleans???

I'd think Memphis before NOLA.
