Yep, he took the bag of cash, rather than the fit in Indiana. I can almost guarantee you this offer is way, way better than Indiana's.

This might still be a sign and trade, but the matching numbers are way easier, I think, since Charlotte has MOST of this in cap space - roughly $10 million short, it seems like.

There will be no Myles Turner level assets going out to Boston, I wouldn't think.
Wow! Good for Charlotte. And I also love seeing Ainge lose out yet again.

I’d call for Miles Bridges/Monk in salary dumps.

Cody Zeller is a 15m salary dump...

Hornets gonna Hornet.
I actually like this move for Charlotte. They have a lot of young guys on rookie contracts so they could afford Hayward.

He should pick up his production as the number 1 or number 2 scoring option now.

I suspect they are going to send out Zeller to the Celtics to make the room as the Celtics need a big
MJ is so crazy, he might give us something for Dwight Powell. Please try Mavs.

It's a massive overpay, for sure. But I'm still kinda happy to see a good player go to Charlotte.

It'll be interesting to see how they clear the cap space to make that offer. I'm rooting for Boston to be cut out entirely and lose him for nothing.
This is Cody Zeller going to Boston, I bet.

If Charlotte is sending Zeller to Boston, then they need a new big! Cmon Hornets create another DUST chip for us.
Sad thing for the Hornets is that Haywards contract probably doesn´t make the top 3 in an alltime bad decisions list.

Drafting Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison or the recent Rozier for Walker trade are easily worse.

I really don’t see Ainge taking on a salary of that size for a backup-caliber player.

I had the same thought.  haha

I take I take it a step further. Hornets are not done. They´ll trade Batum+Rozier for Wall, Blake or Westbrook.
Meanwhile, this could be an indicator Crowder is moving on.

The Knicks were reportedly not comfortable with Hayward at those numbers. When the Knicks say no thanks with 40 mill in cap space, you know that is a terrible deal.

You might be right, but SOMETHING has to happen because Charlotte doesn't have enough space for this to happen. Maybe a stretch waive, or another deal?

I like the Heat moves more than the Bucks. If he loses against the Heat twice, he isn't going to join them or?

Big Grin

After Harkless and Bradley, I don't see where Crowder fits.

Crowder's biggest suitors according to a report was Lakers, Clippers, and the Mavs. Lakers spent their MLE already.
