Thank goodness 3 out of those 5 are extremely positive value guys that can be traded easily. Wright is also not impossible to trade. Powell is the only real hurdle, but a S/W of him can free up 8 mil of cap pretty quickly if needed.
Maybe we could demand Powell be included in the Hield trade. That would make it much more appealing.
Don't be distracted by the shiny rumors, my dudes.

Just sit back, close your eyes and imagine FUTURE MAV GREAT RICKY RUBIO.

This is NOT what Marks said.

If you read the piece, he classifies as "Who returns/joins" and "Who might be gone".  He then puts players in each category and if they have a PO, he says (player option exercised) as a way of clarifying his PREDICTION.  He does this with every PO player in the league.  Triggs jumped the gun and now this guy is following in line behind him.

At this point I just want Rubio to retire so you can move on.
Lakers expect Rondo to get a big offer in free agency.

Every Knicks fan right now: okay okay we take Westbrook.

Imagine you worried about getting Westbrook, then they sign Rondo for 80/4 instead.

I legit think it's going to happen now. I really, really do.
Lakers don't have bird rights on Rondo... So it really doesn't have to be that much to not be able to resign him.

They'll have to give AD a raise and then if they want to sign anyone else... It becomes difficult. Idk what the cap rules are this year. Might have missed an important nugget. But they'd be approaching the hard cap if they use the MLE on him.

Ok, sorry. I just woke up. I just saw the tweet, and didn't mean to spread misinformation. I should have investigated more first.

What is interesting about the Green deal (if you don't want him, you hope they execute it at a minute after noon tomorrow), is it backs up the idea that OKC doesn't want multi-year players and therefore doesn't want Rubio.  So, for a Paul deal to work, Rubio has to go somewhere.

You didn't do anything wrong.  It is easy to make the mistake Trigg made, but if he were to read anything outside of the Dallas info he would have seen the pattern.
As for Schroeder... That shows you his market. There were other teams interested lol.
Just a reminder that as fans we constantly overrate players trade value.

I don't think we are paying anything for Danny Green. We will send them Justin Jackson and Wright if we make a trade.

I think the most likely scenario is that he just gets bought out eventually.

Honestly, Danny Green wasn't that good last year. He's just a role player. I'm sure teams will be interested in him on the cheap. But nobody is going to pay anything of value for him.

Again I point out that he was used as cap filler at the deadline last year. And he's cap filler here again. That's what he is.

I skimmed for the last couple of pages, sorry. Who's saying Danny Green is a good player? He's being run out of LA with torches and pitchforks.
Here is the most interesting question for us: What was the plan of the Bucks trading Bledsoe to the Lakers for Green+#28. If those are the ideas they pursue to convince Giannis to stay....

Schroeder is expiring deal, it makes sense they don't want a longer contract with inferior player to just get the 28th pick.
CP3 OTOH is longer and bigger contract, he is 2nd highest paid player in the NBA who is 35 , to trade him you will always have to absorb something you don't want.
OKC already done such thing when they got him for Russ
