Is he a playmaker?

Is it possible he shoots better here on higher quality opportunities?

I'm legit asking. I have not watched this guy play once, I don't think.

Last year only about 25% of his attempts were wide open compared to 80% for DFS. And he certainly fits the bill as a secondary playmaker.

Ok, I like this guy's take. I hope this is correct!

Dinwiddie is a very very very solid NBA player. Very Donnie move. I'm meh about it.
Is this the crazy dude who went off about how the NBA players did the whole bubble thing for free?

Can´t they at least create some rumours that make us happy.

Why can´t it be: Nets and Mavs have discussed trade of Delon Wright and Justin Jackson.
He can definitely get to the hole.  He can definitely facilitate.  He's got size.  But that 3pt shot is a worry.  He's not scared to shoot it though.  Took over 6 attempts per game last year shooting only 31%.

I could see him approaching 35% playing with Luka and taking better shots.

I have no idea what his defense is like.

Same dude who wanted to turn his contract into an investing venture to invest in cryptocurrency.

I think the fact that Dinwiddie is a career 32% 3pt shooter on 5 attempts a game is enough for me to want to steer clear.

They really want a secondary playmaker.

It's a safe bet to doubt the legitimacy of all leaked rumors. But he has been around for a while and is a decent follow.

My read on him is way more "progressive thinker" than crazy dude but I might be off.
If the Nets are desperate to get Harden and he is cheap I'm Ok with this...

Ok, so there are some boxes checked by this. It's possible this is the best move they could make.

I think the only reason why they want to even deal with the Mavs is because they want their picks for a Harden trade. Dinwiddie was/is a great Kyrie insurance policy.

I don't really want Dinwiddie if he's going to cost multiple picks. Even if he comes along with PJ Tucker in some convoluted trade.
Athletic had him tier 4B - top 79 players - Zach Lavine's name is right next to his....

If I had a choice, its Zach Lavine all day every day over Dinwiddie. Especially if the Mavs are going to be sending picks.

Well, Rubio is in that group too...

Huge part of this is due to the fact that DFS understands his role, and is almost elite in moving to empty spaces.
People give ton of credit to the passer, but sometimes you need to give same credit to the off the ball movement.
Yay fresh rumors!

So with Dinwiddie news I think we can stop arguing ab Dipo at the moment.

To me the Dinwiddie trade would probably be 18 + Wright to give Nets more picks to stockpile (presumably for Harden or another big fish).

I think there's some upside there. THJ/Dinwiddie seem redundant but it makes THJ more expendable if you want to flip him for something else.
If #18 has to be included it may at least be an opportunity to unload Wright. Hopefully they hold out on including both picks.

Yes, we haven't spent much time talking about this, but IF the Mavs have decided to move on from cap space plan (we still don't know) then I would love for them to start the season with THJ on the roster. That big-ass expiring contract is one of the better tools we can hope for in an over the cap world.

That's true, and I don't think Dallas would want Dinwiddie to have the DFS role. That would be a waste of his skillset. But he should still get more clean looks than he's accustom to.
