I don't know about "robbing" (haven't thought about the trade details in awhile - maybe you're right). But, absolutely, this news is a coup for the Sixers. Couldn't let him walk, and that long term max would've been a death sentence, so YES - best possible scenario for them.

Shane Larkin is a two time champion. Cannot say the same about Giannis.

Roddy is a THREE time champion now.  Basically a global icon.

Thank god. It drives me crazy sometimes reading posts on here about him. People have this fantasy in their head about what Ben Simmons COULD be if only he would just completely change his game and his personality. It's not happening. He literally just took an entire year off just to get what he wants. And some people think he's just going to magically become this humble team first guy that does whatever the team needs to win if he comes here? He's not ever going to learn to shoot and he's not ever going to turn into a suped up version of dwight powell or draymond green or whatever else people fantasize he could be.

I know he had a bad year last season and he may be washed, but I wouldn't mind seeing DJ Augustin on a vet min for PG depth.

Slim pickins.
Schroder is the cream of that crop.

He is not the cream of anything.  He is so selfish.  Him getting off the Boston team is what made them turn the switch and make it all the way to the Finals.

Every where he has gone, he makes the team worse because he is not a team player.  He makes Rondo look like a candidate for Teammate of the Year.

Talent compared to the rest of the list, he's the cream of the crop.

He’s the Sour Patch Kids to my brown gravy! That’s for sure!

He is talented, and coming off the bench mitigates some of that selfishness. If the Mavs land him (hopefully at Vet Min) I would take a wait and see approach.

I would be surprised if it is Schroeder though.   There certainly appeared to be something there about Dirk not being a fan.  He has seemed to rub some people the wrong way.    I don't blame this on him, but Boston got much better when he was moved.  Again, I don't blame him, but still.   The big thing is I don't see him being very happy as the fourth guard making the minimum.

I discounted Kemba earlier, but the more I think of it, he could be an option.  Especially if we have only the minimum.   I think he is a minimum guy now.   He won't be counted on for big minutes but could play spot duty if needed.  Question, if both Kemba and Eric Bledsoe are available for the minimum, who would you prefer?

I am hoping for someone bigger and possibly younger, but Maybe Kemba is a solid short term solution.

On a one-year, vet minimum deal, it would be a tire worth kicking but the Mavs have never seen interested in him which is pretty telling considering the German legacy with the team.

I'm personally hoping for a Tyreke Evans comeback success story.
