Thybulle is just a lethal defender. One of the best in the business. He thrives with good rim protection though.

The fact he can't shoot means he's a specialist. Sixers badly need shooting and big man insurance. I think Morey is trying to turn 2 guys who barely ever play into at least 1 guy that can.

My concept of time really is skewed. I felt like he's been in NYK for 2 years.

In any case, I don't disagree with this assessment. But Cam's value in ATL was worth at least a FRP to NYK. They saw some talent there that Thibs just didn't care to explore.

As a flier I don't see the harm in adding him. I just don't think he'd come to the Mavs at all though, and I wouldn't be hung up on it.

I'm more focused on getting a center and a wing defender this deadline. Those 2 vaults the Mavs into great position theoretically.

I just don't think the Jazz will give away Conley for Russ like that.

Maybe the Lakers are desperate. I feel like Ainge is going to budge from his 2 FRP demand and he shouldn't.

Giggle, you said "Ainge" and "budge" in the same sentence.

You forgot to put an UwU in that post.

This is why they're contemplating it

I ate a burrito from Freebirds last night that I'm contemplating turning loose here in about 15 minutes. The effect of that decision on my body will be very similar to what happens every time a team, any team, turns Drummond loose.

Addition by subtraction, defined.
27 hours, 45 minutes left. Most trades will of course be announced shortly after that.

I'll say it'd be Jimmy Butler.

Oooooh...maybe? That's a good guess.

And I'd even pick the team. It's gonna be a 3-way trade between the Clippers and Knicks.

Lowry heading to LAC. Jimmy to NYK. 3 picks headed to MIA.
I doubt someone would describe Jimmy Butler as "pretty good".  I'd guess someone of a lesser status.

Jerami Grant?

Losing puts everyone in a testy mood.

Winning cures all ills.

I think more along the lines of a Seth Curry level player.  *shrug*

I mean Jimmy is turning 34. Not an all star. Averaging a solid 21ppg but on meh shooting.

Is he even a top 20 player right now? I'd say he's pretty good by today's standards.

He still has the name and legacy so I have a hard time believing anyone attaches that descriptor.  I would love to be wrong and have him traded to Dallas.
IF Miami is selling...
BAM!
Stealing and expanding upon a Nick Angsted idea from the podcast today…

Phoenix gets KAT/McGee, gives up Ayton/Crowder/First
Minnesota gives KAT, gets Wood/THJ/Two Firsts
Dallas gets Ayton/Crowder, gives up Wood/THJ/McGee/First

The theory is Phoenix would want KAT over Ayton enough to give up a first for him.  Minnesota doesn’t want Ayton next to Rudy, so they take Wood/THJ and firsts.  Dallas is happy to trade Wood/THJ/McGee and a first for Ayton/Rudy.  His idea, I only added the McGee for Crowder part.  I thought it was kind of interesting.
