If you can keep up with who said what around here, you are a better man than me.  I do recall you saying your concerns about two bigs being a defensive issue and having some back and forth about that.

I also know the term ‘modern NBA’ is typically about ‘spacing’ on offense.  A good bit of the conversation around playing someone like Powell with Wood tends to focus on Powell impacting Wood’s diverse game ‘offensively’.  People say a traditional center will force Wood to stand in the corner…offensively.  When people talk about Powell ruining the spacing of a Luka/Wood PNR, I’m pretty sure they are talking about offense.

Whether that was you or someone else, I have no idea.  If it was you saying those things, then, you are being targeted.  If not, then the post wasn’t about you.
THJ+Bertans+McGee for Simmons?

I'm alright with it. But not pushing for it. And Brooklyn probably wants more, which is nuts to me.

Unlike some/most here who thinks he'd be out of the NBA once his contract is up, I think he sticks around way longer than expected.
I don't see the Philly version to return, but I do expect him to be better than the current version.
It will take time.

If anything, having shipped out 3 players for one (if this pushes thru), opens up spots for the Mavs. And they better use those with young undrafted/international guys available. Another Maxi find, or even a Salah Mejri would be the type of signing I'd like to see instead of the Sterling Browns and McGees.

Well, I do agree with those things, and have said variations of them, but that logic tree isn't the deal breaker in my opinion. These are more like "and also" points for me. I mean, that type of lineup limits what you can do with Wood on the court, for sure, but that's ok, he doesn't need to be featured the entire time he's out there. It's ok for him to space for a few minutes now and then. I suppose that qualifies for your "flexibility" argument, which is fine. Anyway, this was another of many recent posts of yours that came across like an intentional reduction of the opposing view (which, to some of us, makes a lot more sense than the majority view).

I HATE two bigs for defensive reasons, above all.

I don't hate it as much when both players in question can move, I'm learning. So, I guess what I really hate is the idea that any player who's a statue out there must get played because of some nebulous "rim protection" crap. The reality, in my viewing experience, is that a dinosaur being on the floor only increases the chances the ball will even touch the paint in the first place.

Then again, I did enjoy the Wood/McGee stretch of the last game, for reasons I can't fully explain.

I cannot see this tweet, and can't see any trade related tweets on Sham's page. What did this say?
Chandler Parsons says 'bamf' is absolutely something Tony Brothers would say but there's no way he would be malicious saying it.  This type of banter was normal even 5 years ago but probably could be construed differently now.  I didn't watch all of it.

Hmm, he must have deleted it. It said that Dwight Howard signed with a team in Taiwan.
My brothers in Christ... Ben Simmons sucks

I agree. I’m out on Simmons entirely. I’d rather have THJ and Bertans believe it or not.

Because you're my favorite!
simple trade---Joe Harris for Tim Hardaway.   Who says no?  Both teams?   Does it move the needle for either team?

I'd rather have Hardaway, so I say no.

Give me Harris and his career 43% from three and not being a "chucker."

Gladly. You can have him. I've watched the Nets a fair amount these past 3-4 years and he has been pretty disappointing. It's actually a little THJ-esque, meaning it hasn't always been his fault, and I honestly think this board would hate either player if they watched them nightly, but give me the one who bleeds Mavericks blue, personally.
Request a trade to Dallas king.

Edwards came into this season out of shape so it's surprising how much he's deriding his team publicly.

But you do have to wonder how panicky they're feeling after mortgaging their entire stash for Gobert with no way out.
Do we have a platter of draft assets and players good enough to pilfer Anthony or D'angelo away from Minny?

D'angelo used to have question marks about his defense...I dont know enough about him.   He fills the secondary ball handler/scorer hole...but does he fit Kidd/Sweeney defense?

They have plenty of way outs. They can trade either KAT or Edwards, both would fetch close to Gobert like haul
So when the game started and I wondered if they were going to showcase players. When THJ, Curry, and Simmons all hit the floor I thought yep, then Timmy hit the floor and did the splits.

I still would kick the tires on THJ, Bertans and McGee for Simmons and Curry and see what NJ would be willing to pay to make that happen after December 15th.

I don't know how motivated NJ is to do something along those lines but the next 6 weeks are the line in the sand for THJ's future in Dallas.
