If true, that would make Toronto buyers, right?

No Siakim, no Annunoby.

Yeah hard to get a read on TOR. Some reports saying only Trent is available....other reports saying the whole roster might be. *shrug*
So looking at NY I come up with Fournier for Bertans and Bullock for Cam and Rose. Dallas gets their '23 pick back.

Sounds like we probably offered our two seconds and the Wizards went and found a third from the Lakers.

I wonder what the general consensus around here would be regarding trading Wood for Turner straight up (we will have to add a little salary).  Assume we know we could retain either one.  Who would you rather have?  My guess is your answer is Wood.  I'm not completely sure what mine would be.  I wonder who others would choose?

I think Turner is a better player, at least this season. He can do stuff offensively and is an excellent defender. Better to build around Luka, imho. His only weakness is he is often injured. Will likely also cost more (in terms of salary).

I mean it depends. I think MT is more of a lumbering big and I think Wood has more overall talent and is more flexible as a player. BUT if Kidd is the coach moving forward I am not sure I want Wood, I don't trust Kidd to use him rightly or for Wood to even want to stick around.

Turner is a better player, as long as we're living in a world where a significant percentage of what's intriguing about Wood is "potential". Now, if/when Wood gains some level of consistency, it becomes a real conversation.

I probably do it, depending on what the added salary is, but would stop short of adding one of those two young players or a 1st.

The big problem, imo, is that Turner is kind of an eccentric dude and seems interested (to me) in playing for a big market. I can't really provide evidence to support this, but if it comes down to "which one can the Mavs lock in, financially", and it should, then I really think Wood is the guy from that angle.
Chicago needs Wings from what I understand...especially 3D... I would be very interested in Caruso... now that Bullock is shooting better... What do you think we need to add to make Bullock for Caruso?

All true, and Turner is a worse rebounder.  I thought his numbers would jump more when Sabonis left.  I think I like his fit with Luka better, but the injury thing is a real concern.  The money thing means Cuban prolly doesn't pull the trigger on it regardless, but I think its an interesting thought experiment.  It says a lot about Wood if the comparison is even close.

They need defensive wings, so you want them to give up the one they have?
