Typical Danny Ainge....I really think Ainge is going to ask so much that nothing is going to happen on this front. We will see.

Atlanta would be some damn fools to give all that up for Gobert.

Ayton and Haliburtan is a phenomenal start to a rebuild.
Regarding Thybulle

According to Jeff Fischer.....

"The Sixers would require “a significant upgrade to their rotation” in the form of a starting-caliber player in order to move Thybulle, according to Fischer."

Which likely means the Mavericks would be a very unlikely dance partner.

How about Timmy + Dinwiddie + Green for Tobias + Thybulle and then sign Dragic.

VERY interesting proposal to me.

If Dragic were about three years younger, I'd be intrigued. I think Dinwiddie (at least here in this system) might be the best player in that deal, however, and I just don't see Dragic being able to do what he does. Getting to the free throw line, etc.

Plus, (less importantly) I think either Hardaway OR Dinwiddie could be moved (I'd vote Hardaway), but I think moving both puts you in a pretty huge bind, offensively.

I think they made some good strides this year on defense, and I hope they take another step next season, but for me the offense is the thing they should be focused on improving right now. It was great at times, but not nearly consistently good enough, and the GS series (last thing that group did together) was abysmal offensively, imo.

Interesting.  I would put Din and Timmy at roughly the same level (with Din being the better fit) and Thybulle approaching their level with just a tad more offense.  I think Tobias is the best player.  He is the best creator with no real weaknesses.  He is not a bad defender like Timmy or a bad shooter like Din.  He can create some for others and score at all three levels.  He is the only guy on this list I would consider a no brainer starter.  He is just wildly overpaid.

Ok, so we're just pretty far apart on Harris, then. I'm not nearly so high on him, personally.
Tobias is what we used to call a good first quarter player.
I guess I've done a 180 on Dinwiddie, because I was dead set against the idea of him when he was free last summer and before the trade deadline, and now I feel like I'm expecting more from him than nearly everyone here.

I thought he looked GREAT here with the kind of spacing this team can provide with all of its front court shooting (they just got even more of that, too). And, that was coming off of a major injury without the benefit of a training camp to learn the system and get comfortable with teammates/different lineups.

I'm expecting a 6MOY-level season from him this year, and tbh I could easily see him starting if not for Brunson. I think Dinwiddie fits on this team like peas fit with carrots.
