Only have room for one chemistry guy. Luka will have to survive on his own. They need all the help they can get to handle Kyrie and Pinson seems to be the best choice.

Meh.  Your source is what?

Does Cuban finally get the whale he's been searching for?
Mavs ran out of options. Only thing left is the buyout market.

Planet Earth, flat or round, whichever way you prefer it.

I like to think he's making fun of the Mavs for not being able to trade him.

Do the Mavs try to sign him to an extension now or just play it out and see what happens?

Trade Rumors is the name of his pot dealer.  They are in a competitive dominoes league together.

In other words you made it up.

Ha...yeah it may be a name to watch.  Can he still play though?
I wonder if Wood ends up back in the starting lineup.  It seems like our best playoff lineup is probably:

Wood/Maxi/Luka/Green/Kyrie
Mavs got Kyrie, but what else? Say or believe what you want, other West teams got better.

Unless you subscribe to the "two ball-handlers at all times" theory, in which case I'd bet a 3rd PG would absolutely be in the playoff rotation.

But honestly, at this point I think we need to change our expectations from any specific need to simply "one more usable player with a little gas in the tank" when it comes to buyouts.

I'd take Beverley over some of the buyout names MacMahon was discussing a few days ago, for sure, but we'll see what's actually out there.

I think it was @"JamesConway912" who said the other day that Kyrie makes the buyout scene more interesting for the Mavs with his relationships, and I wholeheartedly agree.

He might be good for a Peja like performance every once in a blue moon but I don't think he's anything you can depend on.  I wasn't thrilled with the idea of PatBev, but I'd easily prefer him over Green.
Well Houston had real trouble finding a taker for Wood.   It appears Dallas found a very limited market as well.  I know he is dreaming of a big payday, but if that offer is still on the table he may want to take some certainty.
Both Green and Beverly have been stealing money for 3 seasons now.  Put a fork in them.

If they couldn't trade him now, as an expiring, my guess is that they won't be in a hurry to make any sort of commitment to him until the Kyrie situation gains some clarity.

I'd pull the offer honestly.  Feels like a Nerlens situation all over again.
