You think he can't finish the tasks for the day and then go relax? Or he's incapable of using a phone so that he doesn't have to be tied to an office?

I think it’s more of a reflection on me tbh. I would be scared of missing out on a deal because I couldn’t hear the other teams offer over the crowd lol. I’m sure he’s got it under control.

Maybe. I may just think different. I work hard, then call it a day and relax. Maybe that's just me.

I think at this point, the likelihood of ANYTHING occurring after NBA hours that "can't wait" is almost microscopic. And isn't that what texts are for, the just in case?

The rush is over, the relevant FA's have made choices for the most part.

There are only 30 teams to talk to. GMs have had all day to touch base with each other and see who is interested in what, for potential trades, and then cycle it through staff to see what angles make sense, if any. Most teams don't even have an angle, for either you or them to consider a deal.

At some point, you might as well something different, because you have nothing to do. Your brain needs a rest, to refresh. Call it a day.
I almost wonder if the reason for the weird silence on Dragic and Hardy is that the Mavs are trying to move enough salary to use the full MLE and then split it among McGee, Dragic, and Hardy. Dumping Powell+Green for nothing basically gets them there.
Slovenia tomorrow plays the game against Sweden (we will se if this is officialy Goran's final game for Slovenia or Luka will be able to convice him to play also on eurobasket), so they're currently focusing on that game.

I think next week is the week when Goran will decide about his future.

Wow. Will they really have him walk for nothing? That is as stand up as it gets

LOL! You bet they do! Talk about going from looking at a future full of ten digits to a future of being identified by a series of digits.

Bridges may play in the league again when all of this "blows over." He's quite a talent. Too bad that there's one team in the league that can never afford the PR hit of ever taking a chance on him.

His wife is the true stand up. I estimated $20M would be her losses (50% divorce of his contract paycut), but now it looks more like >$50M. She´s like the anti gold digger.
If it’s true I hope he gets jail time. And that they add extra time for his sorry excuse for “rapping” or whatever that garbage he’s trying to pass off for music is. He makes Shaq look like Rakim by comparison.
A few of us were discussing this three way idea yesterday. I think it's very likely that this is the trio that will eventually pull the trigger on something, possibly with a 4th team involved:

One reason I believe it's going to be a 3-team deal is Ayton. I didn't know this a few days ago, but apparently teams are only allowed to have one rookie-max-extension player on their roster at a time?

So, for Ayton to get the contract he wants and end up in BRK, Simmons would have to be traded away. I'm sure that option has been discussed.

I think the most likely ending is for Simmons to remain on BRK's roster, and for Ayton to land elsewhere (like Utah). I know I wouldn't want to pay Ayton a rookie-max-extension, though I do concede that it's borderline and that some people would.

Here is where I am confused. Doesn't that same obstacle apply for Mitchel too? BKN is also way over hard cap, so trade for Ayton is difficult

Yeah, maybe.

So maybe we can assume Simmons would be in the 3 or 4 team deal.

Interesting.
