I don't remember much of that offense being generated as a two-man game partner with Luka, honestly. I think he was just jacking up the same shots he did the entire next two seasons, only he was hot at the time.

We never got KP to run it as much as we would have liked. But it was very effective when he did. If Wood like to run it that is a huge plus for us

Yep, Maxi was there too.  Saw some photos on Linkedin and they looked like they had a grand time.    Those 4 are pretty tight.

There might be another factor in JB’s decision. They are all pretty tight, but do they see the writing on the wall that they are expendable? JB could sign to stay with his friends only to see his friends get traded away. A very real possibility.
Stein was just on Spotify Live but doesn't have anything new about Brunson unfortunately. Just says the Knicks are a very real threat but Dallas has a lot going for it too since he was drafted here, developed here, etc. Stein mentions that Brunson getting 25 million a year isn't too bad actually, as that number would put him in about the middle of the pack as far as salaries for point guards.

Brunson at 5/125 sounds about right to me. Get it done, Nico!

I posted this a few days ago.  It was later brought to my attention that this may have been an older video as Jaden now has longer hair????

One of the guys looks like God Shamgod, but it is tough to confirm.
I was thinking green shirt guy was Theo Pinson but I'm not sure either.

In any case if that's an older video... my interest is piqued. I don't think that's likely though.
Impressive career for the Mavs front office OG.

No idea who Anthony Slater is or if he's legit but I would absolutely love to get Payton. He could be that point of attack defender we've needed for years, basically what we want Ntilikina to be. The defense with GPII, Bullock, DFS, and Maxi on the floor would be unbelievable.

Feel like that mens Brunson is gone, which would suck. If Brunson leaves this off season will lose a lot of its luster.

Bullock and DFS played way too many minutes so this just adds a horse to the stable.  I don't see how it impacts JB either direction.

I think DAL is only a competitive suitor for GPII IF JB leaves. If JB stays, no way does GPII take a Mavs offer. But with JB out there is a much bigger role available.

This is a smart take. If Brunson leaves, there will be better players who will want to come, to fill that slot with a key role.

Just a note -- after reading the article, the idea that GP is interested in Dallas, or that Dallas is where he's looking, is exaggerated in the headline, compared to what the article really says. Dallas got a mention as an alternate possibility IF the W's let him get away, but also says the W's do see him as a priority. And they can pay him way more than Dallas can, if they wish to.

Personally, I was hoping for GP2 as a Mavs target even with JB still on the roster. He only plays less than 20 mins per game, and will be 30 years old next season. I think there's a role either way, trading THJ or Dinwiddie would make it easier.

IMO, if JB leaves, GP2 starts and essentially becomes the new Powell in the starting 5. THJ or Dinwiddie will play the bigger overall role.
Dumb (out of the loop) question - if JB walks, do the Mavs have their full MLE? Or is it still the taxpayer MLE? If the latter, better pray for that Reddish/Noel/Mavs 23 SnT to come through.

GPII isn't coming here for the tax MLE under any circumstances.
