But if this is true, then point off KP. You can't suck on defense because you don't get the ball enough.

I think as far back as early 2021 I put forward that my hypothesis was that KP's issues were in the head and in the heart. I think he HATED RC so much and was in such a bad place mentally that he could not muster the 100% effort that NBA D requires. I didn't see physical issues in him last year, I saw focus, passion, and "give-a-damn" issues. I don't think it had to do with touching the ball on O. It is hard to give full effort when you hate your environment.

The classic: So are you lazy or stupid? KP opted for lazy.

I heard he had excellent defensive posture, when answering questions and posing for photos. Clearly it was an effort issue.

If I had more time, I´d watch other teams pre-season/media just to whether their coaching staff/GN/owner say as much unfiltered dumb stuff to the media (and get away with it).
