I guess so. They are on the roster and cannot play any other position. But I have to admit that I have moved on from the traditional definitions of positions.
Mavs have three small ball bigs ((Powell, Kleber, Chriss) and four traditional bigs (KP, WCS, Moses, Boban). Difference being that the first group can play next to another traditional big. I have given up on WCS. As of now I consider him gone. Replaced by Chriss.
I think the redundant part of the roster is the Moses/Boban combination. Both are spot minutes players in a limited number of matchups. Prior to the COVID outbreak it looked like Moses was getting the nod over Boban. They also guaranteed his contract.
Boban is still the per36 GOAT but he is getting even less minutes than in previous seasons. Not sure if the Mavs should move on. He is an important part of the locker room. Especially for Luka.

It was a strange report.   Not sure if it was agent driven or really true.  I feel it would be weird for the Mavs.   Cousins would provide some interior scoring which I think is a need moving forward....baskets near the rim.   But the rest of his game seems like a odd fit.

Considering he is signing a 10 day contract with Denver I wonder if we were offering the same.  Maybe Boban is going to be out longer???

I like the Chriss fit better on our current roster.  Can Chriss sign a third 10 day if we have a player out still?
Cousins and Chriss are kind of redundant for this team offensively.  I like Chriss better for his hustle. Commits a ton of fouls though.

Not sure why they would be interested in Boogie with the current makeup of the team.

Its shit like this that makes me excited to have Jason Kidd as a coach. Seems like he really goes the extra mile that I just don't think RC was doing the last 2 years.

I have the Grizz game circled on my calendar. Have to break their streak.
I think it's that 1) they get the defensive scheme now, and 2) they have their legs underneath them enough to hit some shots.

I think there's probably some truth to the theory that the newfound focus on defense affected everyone's shot early on as their legs adjusted. But now we're starting to see the payoff on both ends.
Who woulda thunk that Covid protocols likely made our season?
Dorian doing Dorian-things and most of the world will never notice.
