I hate that enegizer bunny cliche - both as a cliche and for what it says. Skip to 3m20s

This seems worthy of discussion if true.

It's probably very true, but there's no way of knowing how serious the talks were.

Talented as Irving is, this is one of the few deals for KP that wouldn't interest me.

Hopefully Nico is knocking on the door of every front office in the league and gauging availability and interest in their own roster.  If it got past the "Kyrie is available" and "KP is available" stage is where this would become interesting.

Where KP is concerned there’s just no pleasing you dammit.

I’m hopeful that the supposed organization to the front office that Nico is bringing is going to pay dividends. That includes checking in frequently with teams about certain players. I think we’re about to start finding out with this new front office is made of.

Ian Begley is so tied in that he references the potential trade desires of "Mark Cubin".
Another thing to think about. Is KP going to be pissed all over again now that his name has come up in trade talks?

I'm willing to bet my life that he'd rather be in Brooklyn than Dallas, anyway, so I highly doubt this rumor will cause much trouble.

So obviously it's true.

Yuck.

You’d probably survive because I’d be willing to bet that you’re right.
The good news of the Kyrie rumor (btw, the Nets don't have the avalanche of sweeteners necessary to make that trade worth the Mavs' consideration) is that KP evidently has *some value,* which is a change from this summer. I think it's a safe bet that the Nets brought KP up, not the Mavs. Now go gauge his value with other teams.
Is it bad that I'm actually interested in Kyrie for this team?

Not for KP of course, but THJ+Powell+Picks? Kyrie radically transforms this team, when he isn't going AWOL. Only has 1 more year left so we don't even have to fully commit to him if he's bat shit crazy.
