Never saw the KP trail play with Rick, though.

That's where some of those 3's from the half court arc came from

Ok..You're trolling me or we are talking about two different kinds of trailing.

I guess I don't get the joke if it was one. I'm sorry.

Kicks the can a few days more.
Anyone seen Shams report? Says Mavs are suitors for Myles Turner. Interesting.

I know SH didn’t appreciate the Luka criticism the other day.  It is perfectly reasonable to think a player is great/generational/all-nba ect. ect. and still be able to point out his flaws and wish he would improve upon them.  Heck people even found fault with Dirk once upon a time sacrilegious as that sounds today.

Indiana Pacers

Rival teams are ramping up conversations with the Pacers involving guard Caris LeVert and center Myles Turner. The Mavericks and Knicks are expressing interest in trading for Turner, sources said. The Lakers and Hornets have had a level of interest in Turner as well, sources added. The Cavaliers are among interested teams in LeVert, those sources said, as he would provide a combo guard able to handle the ball and playmaker in the season-ending absence of Collin Sexton and Rubio.

Turner is the NBA’s leading shot-blocker, averaging 2.9 blocks along with 13.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game Indiana is 15-25 on the season and four games out of a Play-In Tournament seed.
The Athletic reported on Dec. 7 that the Pacers would potentially move toward a rebuild and were receptive to trade conversations around Domantas Sabonis, LeVert and Turner. The Pacers have an extremely high value on Sabonis, rival executives say, which makes a trade unlikelier for the two-time All-Star big man.

Last night was a great example.

Luka was HUGE in helping the team win against CHI and put up 22, 14, and 14. But he also SUCKED in a lot of ways. His shooting was poor, his shot selection was frustrating at times, his complaining to the refs got him distracted from the game, and his effort on D was often lacking. And yet he was +26 and had a great positive impact. And all of this is while being overweight and a step slow.

He has SO much room for improvement....which is EXCITING. Because he is already great in so many ways.

Potential trades w/ the Pacers would make for an interesting topic. Myles Turner is the obvious target but they have wings that would be an interest as well. Which would make THJ a potential trade chip.

T.J.Warren and Caris Levert are nearing return from injuries. Jeremy Lamb is there too.

But a trade for Myles Turner has to mean Porzingis outgoing right?  Not sure the fit if we kept those two together. But the same could be said for the potential fit in Indy w/ Kristaps and Sabonis.

But then again, they have Rick Carlisle so i dont see Porzingis as a target for them. Which brings me back to THJ for Myles Turner. i can see Rick wanting Dwight Powell or Maxi.

Could we do a THJ / Powell swap for Turner / Lamb ?

I mean, I guess posting Rick shrugging about KP spacing the floor was supposed to be a bit of a joke. It wasn't really a response to you. It was supposed to be Rick's response to us speculating on how maybe, possibly, KP spacing the floor would be a good thing.

On the trailing thing...I just remember KP hitting some 3s after trailing the play. I'm confused about your confusion, but not biggie...I'm usually confused.
I don’t see how we can trade for Turner without trading the 2025 first or KP so it seems unlikely to me

I got your joke...you using the word trailing as the subject of the joke.

I guess I thought I was specific enough in my description of trailing...trailing the driving ball handler around the basket...as in the paint area of the floor.

You were joking about trailing...as in coming up the floor after an inbound pass after like a shot being made by the other team...and kp being the last guy up the floor and being passed the ball around the logo and shooting.

I just thought I was specific.  I guess I wasn't.  No biggie

Oh, I see. My bad. I didn't read carefully enough. I was just mainly excited about posting another Rick expression.

Turner has a lot of value and THJ/Powell do not, so I don't see that happening.

I struggle with it making sense to have KP and Turner and your right, I don't see KP going to Pacers for many reasons.

It would have to be a three-way with KP going to a third team that gives Pacers something.

Maybe THJ/Brunson lands you Turner, but then you would need another trade sending KP out for a playmaker.  That's a lot of moving parts.

UGH. Then I sure as hell do not want Turner.

I am a KP homer and if Turner comes, KP has to go.  Which is why I don't think the Mavs will do that. (this may not age well)

Giving up Brunson+ for a semi redundant to KP big is not a good move imo.

KP with RC again, doubt it.
