I will definitely say I was wrong on pre-draft analysis of T-Rex Bane....but I wasn't wrong on my pre-draft analysis of JG....

Of course the Mavs should be ridiculed for selecting a guy that has played maybe 1 good game of his life versus taking any other of the more established guys like Bane, Bey, etc.

It's so wild to me that people actually think tanking is an option with Luka...

Like ya, definitely need to make some changes, but tanking will set us back a decade once we piss Luka off.

It´s even more wild that people actually think tanking has been a problem of this franchise for the last decade. We have two botched tanks in the last decade and still came away with DSJ (used to acquire Porzingis) + Luka+Brunson in these scenarios. Compare that to our other results in free agency and trades, it would seem a lot more bizarre to continue with our current strategies.

Anyway we don´t need to tank, we´ll just keep losing with the current team and end up in the lottery anyway. If it wasn´t for that dumb play-in tournament that makes 66% of the league "play-off" teams, I´d be pretty confident this team would be headed straight toward the ping pong ballls.

Yes...when we tanked we got high lottery picks...I'm sure Luka is eager to celebrate us drafting in the top 10.

No one said anything about losing with the current team.  Tanking (in theory) did it's job, we got our franchise guy and got his running mate (tried at least), you don't tank after that, you eventually try to win.  Call me crazy, but considering we have one of the best 5 players in the world, I'm ok with us trying to win.

It´s always the same. I just can´t be bothered to use an extra keyboard stroke to make this ' apostrophe instead of this ´ all the time.

It was more a tongue in cheek picture with some truth attached about our current situation.

Over the  last 10 games we have actually been the worst team in our shitty division. We have been worse than the Rockets, Spurs and Pelicans.

Only the Thunder, Magic and Pistons have a worse record over the last 10. At least call it tanking, so Luka doesn´t feel like he plays for the biggest morons on the planet.

This team has a bad case of the injury bug the first 22 games this season.

Luka's missed 4 games, and has played through hurt for many more. KP has missed 7 games Maxi has missed 9 games.
WCS has missed 4 and counting with some mysterious reason. Frank also missed 4. 

Sucks that this team can't stay healthy.

I think tihs is true. But if Kidd's schemes are unproven, and the long game is about slowly moving in the direction that he schemes dictate, then are we playing to the long game while aiming at an unsure target?

His schemes are proven around the league. I don't think he is doing anything super innovative and is just borrowing ideas from his time in LAL. The question is can they work with THIS roster and especially with Luka. THAT is the question IMO.
