I hope he's right, because if he is, I find it much easier to talk myself away from the ledge after this Mavs start.
Saddiq Bey's first start in place of injured Blake Griffin. Second lead scorer for the rookie. Only one game but if putting Saddiq Bey with the starters results in more wins, it might make Griffin expandable.

Unless the Pistons are complete idiots Griffin is always available. There are no butts to put in the seats and that´s about the only purpose he serves on that team.

Though it´s kind of interesting that people are eager on having the injury-prone 31 year old Blake at 36M on the decline over the 26 year old Randle at $19M on the rise, when they are basically the same player the last two years.

I guess it´s because CP3 made Blake a "winner" early in his career. So many examples of this simplistic thinking: Lavine and Beal are losers, Booker is a winner now. Six months ago he was a loser, too. Wink
I am starting to feel sorry for Steph. Feels like a punishment. No NBA great should be forced to play with Wiggins and Oubre.
My favorit stat of the season. So far Oubre is 1/25 from 3. And most of them are open. Shooting 27.4% (17/62) for the season. Only made two non dunk/layup attempts.

So basically like Luka.  Big Grin

Compared to Oubre Luka is the greatest shooter ever. +12% from 3-point range and actually one of the best in the league from the ellbow/midrange area (9/17 53%).
His fadeaway looks really good this season.
@"hakeemfan"  is finally getting what he always asked for. Luka with a midrange game and more post ups.

Personally, I wish we had drafted S. Bey instead of J. Green. Griffin I don't care about, his not playing with much intent these games. Had we drafted S.Bey at #18 we probably would of drafted differently.

I've said it half dozen times, but that Wiggens trade was mind blowing.  Just terrible.

Same, although I’m liking Green more than I expected.

Still, knowing now that the biggest hole is at the 4, I feel like SBey could’ve found his way onto the floor a little more quickly.

Why? Russell is a similar player, so they basically didn't lose a lot and they got a number 2 pick for that. GSW is missing both Thompson and Green, which is the source of most problems.

I also wanted us to draft S.bey and Desmond Bane, and Killian Hayes. Glad to see two of those games are translating well. Bey and Bane are contributing to winning basketball already.

The last mentioned (hayes) will need more time perhaps. I think Green is a fine pick, but he does not have star potential, and you need to look for star potential in the draft. Solid players can be found in the FA.

Still too early to judge anything however. But Bey and Bane will at very least be a solid players. They are shooting really well from the outside in the NBA.

Honestly same. I definitely was very annoyed that the Mavs chose Green when Bey was right there.

Unfortunately I don't share the same optimism as others regarding Green. I think he can maybe become a good role player in a couple of years, but I think he's going to be more of a Justin Anderson than a Gary Harris.

I said the same. I watched him at Villanova and he has a lot of upside. He made 5 3's and played decent defense on Tatum who missed a lot of shots, the 1st half. Tatum turned his game up in the 2nd half, and him a Brown brought them back. They were down 24 in the 1st half, but Detroit held on to get their 1st win. Bey looks good so far.
John Wall looks great. Like he never left. Harden should rethink leaving, if Boogie and Wall stay healthy, they have a decent core to work with. Christian Wood is playing well also, Detroit should have kept him.

What’s going on with him/them???
Colin Sexton is actually quite good...Cavs come from behind win over Hawks
Trae tried to fish for fouls late in the game, refs were not giving it to him
