Also I think we focus on Markkanen. No way the Hawks can let Collins go. Maybe we can get Reddish?

How ironic would that be? He's the pick Dallas threw in for Luka.
Trae Young NBA Champion has a nice ring to it.

Cause Markkanen is a young available player capable of peaking at 20/10 on great shooting? Huh

Have you watched these play-offs? Offense wins championship.

First we fix that side, then we focus on team defense and individual defenders. Upgrade Maxi to Markkanen, will probably cost us around $7-8M in additional capspace and we can probably extract a small asset for Kleber.

Pretty sure teams like the Bucks, Sixers, Lakers, who lack some cost-efficient shooting would give up a small asset for Kleber. Who s the 3rd best PF/C on the Sixers, if we even count Tobias Harris as a PF? Mike Scott? Confused Korkmaz/Milton for Kleber? Though the old MBT would probably do D. Green instead.

Not to these Mavs fan ears. Not one positive decibel there.

Mavs fans obsession with proving Luka is better than Trae is a little exhausting.

Is he a complete defensive liability?  Serious question.

We kind of have to thank Trae Young to be this good to be honest. Travis Schlenk is obviously a great GM and talent evaluator. If he wasn´t that convinced by Young, he probably takes Luka and we are looking at the DSJ/WCJ era. Confused

You'd prefer Chris Paul or any of the Clippers?

His defensive on/off don´t seem to suggest so. Over his whole career it´s virtually +/- 0.

What stands out is that the Bulls five-man line-ups did really well, as long as Coby White and Zach Lavine didn´t play together. Those two were a complete trainwreck together. So I´d argue Markkanen was not the problem, but rather the backcourt combination of White/Lavine. I think Markkanen next to a defensive center and with a reasonable SG defender can easily work.

In a way Ball and Markkanen would seem to fit really great together. Can we pull that off?
Hawks are better without A Hole on defense.

Who is that center and SG though?  What type of contract do we think Markkanen will command? ~$20M?

Much less imo. His stock has plummeted these last 2 seasons. Unless there's a bidding war I think Markkanen can be had for as little as 12-15mm

Nah. The Bulls just match that and worry about the rest later. You need to be aggressive right out of the gate, while they still pursue their capspace ideas.

84/4 gets it done.

I'm a little upset we might see Trae vs Ayton in the finals.
Goes to show any year can be THE year and teams shouldn't hold anything back.

Hawks had a perfect run with perfect injuries helping them out. Lets see if they can close out the Giannis-less Bucks.
