Shams also saying the Rockets want KD or Kyrie in return for Harden in a trade...
The Rockets trading Harden drama for Kyrie drama would actually be kinda hilarious.

I'm rooting for Miami. Send him east, give GA one more reason to question his chances in Milwaukee, and lock up Miami's money in the process. And I can continue hating the Heat as usual.

Yes, for me Miami or Raptors are the best option.
Miami: they are locked out of Giannis club, and even more it gives them bigger chance of beating him again.
Raptors: Will lock them out of Giannis too, and again give the east another contender.

Nets: If KD is half of himself, and those players get along while Nash do his job right, they are surely coming out of the East and leaving Giannis with no  chance of a title soon.

Sixers: Doesn't affect Giannis much IMO. I think Morey doesn't think that Harden is good fit with Embiid, after seeing Harden & Howard not going far, and TMac and Yao before. He probably learned his lesson. Rockets would also hate to give their super stars to Morey.

Bucks: Worst case scenario for us. Giannis stays there.

PS: Harden putting Bucks as his list of teams might even make things worse for Giannis. They now have no assets, while they could probably had a decent offer for Harden if they choose Bogdanovic over Jrue

The only thing Bucks have for Harden trade is GA. Not going to happen...
I mean, every superstar that plays with Harden wants to get away from him....Sooooo, is Mil really that bad of a choice?
All those supposed free agents next summer are dropping quickly.

That Giannis dream is still alive though.
Smart of George to lock that deal up while he still can. IMO he's been living on an out-of-date reputation for a while now, and I don't see him earning that money on the court or in the locker room. So good deal for Dallas.

Wow, that seems crazy. So, we are down to two theoretic max worthy free agents. Kawhi and GA.

And Rudy  Big Grin

Dude, I get that Rudy Gay is a post-achilles success story, but I hardly consider him a max player at this point.

Imagine though having an all-medical-success-story team.

Kidding aside, I thought Hollinger was right today when he talked about Rudy in the $27mm range being as high as he would go.  It is much easier to get to that number than the $33-$34 range for his max.

I like the player, but $27 million seems steep for a guy who hasn't played in the NBA since 2012. Fernandez is still playing in Spain, right? Is part of that money intended to buy him out of his current contract?

I can buy the idea that he's still got it, but I think I'd prefer a current NBA player.
Rudy? So if the Mavs lose in the finals he can try to get the result overturned?
I am one of the few who support the idea of Gobert here, but I think he is the next in the line for this extension

With some of the 2021 FAs drying up, it's making the recent offseason moves look better and better.

I predict, by this time next year, you will have some "star" on another team wanting out and we will start hearing references to DAL as an acceptable location.
