Ya I get that but that's risky to trade that far into the future and I doubt the Heat would give up a first for Lowry when they will be the favorite to sign whatever big FA they want this summer.

Did it look Clippers, Milwaukee, Lakers care about risky when going all in for the title? Smile Miami wants to compete now and use the Butler window. They were not far last season
Can the Mavs get their hand on Dragic, if TOR doesn't want him if they are rebuilding? If they somehow trade him for Lowry.

He is out today with an "injury".  Johnson + X. Playmaking is finally a thing of the past, with Luka/Brunson/Dragic. Luka very happy too Big Grin

The Knicks have 2 first round picks including Dallas. They are ready to git gud soon so getting Dipo now and having his bird rights would be an advantage.

Early predictions:
- Dipo to NYK
- AG to Boston
- Bought out Drummond to Lakers
- Bought out Aldridge to Miami

I am not sure if Lowry will get traded or not. Miami has been the rumored destination but what do they have that Toronto wants besides Duncan Robinson and that seems too expensive a price to pay for an upcoming FA (Lowry being UFA, Robinson RFA).
I could see NYK sending a 1st for Dipo if they got an extension agreed to.

MIA: Lowry

DAL: Dragic

TOR: Precious, Green, Terry, Nunn, 2nds from both DAL and MIA........and the salary matching pieces(Johnson and Harkless)

Good return for a rental. They can try for Herro/Robinson but that seems like a non-starter for heat

I'm not criticizing the trade, just the number of bodies. I'd like to see if Dragic has anything left in the tank, especially when on a team with his buddy Luka.

TOR sends out one, but has to take back 4 to 6?

Don't want to pay for MIA getting Lowry ...

Maybe just their favorites out of that group? If they trade Lowry and Powell they’re rebuilding the roster to some degree. Johnson/Harkless would be immediately waived. They have other players on their own team they could waive (Len, Mccaw, Johnson)

Doesn't look Miami will be including Dragic in the trade, according to The Ringer. Olynik and Iggy. Crazy where the price for Lowry is going. Robinson and Achiuwa mentioned.

Can’t open it in the EU. I guess it’s not great news for the pro-Collins crowd?

Looks like everyone insulted the Hawks.

I read it and it is his opinion.

"Maybe Schlenk receives an offer for Collins that’s so good that he can’t pass it up. If not, keeping Collins past the deadline leaves intact a team that’s on the come. Then the Hawks can re-sign Collins this summer and keep together a core that looks good enough to make another run at the playoffs next season."

In the offseason, 4 or 6 for 1 is doable, because rosters are still being built and limits are expanded. But mid-season, when everyone is full? It's all but impossible.

The team getting the 4 can't just waive the extra incoming players they don't prefer. In advance, they have to waive their own players off of their roster - in this case, 3 to 5 of them - to open up roster slots to take all the incoming players.

Unless all 4 to 6 are gold-plated in value, that is a real deal-killer. Gotta find a way for it to be an even number of bodies each way, or maybe +1 or -1.

No. Just an opinion piece by a writer, not a position statement by the Hawks on keeping Collins.

Just an opinion piece wanting the Hawks to keep Collins. Absolutely nothing in the sense of inside info that I could see.
I wonder if he strained that hip flexor packing his bags.

Atlanta makes a lot of sense for Oladipo

Just an opinion piece from the author saying that the Hawks shouldn't trade Collins unless they get an offer they can't refuse.
Just a shout out to the guy who should win the MVP....
