Some trade talk from Kevin O'conner from the ringer, including a Mav nuggett

https://www.theringer.com/nba/2021/3/21/...hn-collins

The Cavaliers have had trade talks with the Mavericks involving Andre Drummond. Toronto also retains interest in Drummond, while the Lakers and Nets will be potential destinations if he gets bought out. Cleveland is seeking a second-round pick, or more if a long-term salary is included
Quote:The Atlanta Hawks offered John Collins to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Malik Beasley and a 1st-round pick, per @KevinOConnorNBA

The Timberwolves declined.

That feels about right for his price. I really hope the Mavs can get involved here.

The spin here is kinda funny. Put another way, Houston wants Gordon but Orlando has no interest in Oladipo. Does it even qualify as a trade rumor when the discussion is that one-sided?
Looks like Edwards may end with  Rookie of the year award.
avg 25+Pts in his last 5 games

Well right but Rockets would be giving up a pick at a minimum in the deal. Oladipo would get routed to a team like Dallas who would chip in something even if its small like a 2nd rounder. If a team nabs Dipo on a rental basis for a 2nd round pick that would be an amazing deal. I think any time you are a playoff team and you can get a very good player for a 2nd round pick, even if its a potential rental situation it's worth doing.
Having a guy like Drummond as an upgrade over Powell would be huge. He is a rebounding machine, something the Mavs need and would be getting the easiest buckets of his life with Luka. I am not sure he would be crazy ab a bench role so there's that. If he gets bought out and signed by the Lakers he is probably starting and getting a lot of PT too while LeBron is injured.

Yeah, that makes more sense. I guess I was reacting to the tweet phrasing that the deal would be centered around a player that Orlando doesn't even want. But if they and up netting several picks and an expiring for Gordon, I could see it.
Silas deserves better than to rot in Houston. Get that man a real team.

I was almost interested in a rental until I heard (on a podcast, from an actual Cleveland beat writer) that the team let him stay home while they shopped him because he felt he was too good to come off the bench.

He isn’t. F him.

Stockton's numbers almost look rigged.

Man, I’m not sure anyone will ever catch Stockton.

Raw number of assists are correct, but number of games for Stockton (and others) have been fictionalized.

Is this true? Explain, please.

True. Stockton played 1504 regular season games.

He also never averaged more than 14 assists per game. Data up there would have him at 20 apg.
Crazy...so is this graphic a troll job, or is there some confusion about this?
