I don't know if it's because I'm sleep deprived, but I do not for the life of me understand this graph and what it's trying to say.
I get it's trying to show the Jazz and Suns as playing at a level that historically includes finals berths. Or is it? Ugh need melatonin.

The league was in trouble, and then Magic and Bird saved it. Then, Jordan. Then, Kobe and Shaq. Then, Lebron, who is still going. Curry...Giannis.
There are plenty of exciting players. Maybe more than there ever have been at one time. If your point is that a lot of teams aren’t worth watching, then I totally agree, but the NBA has always marketed itself on the merits of maybe five guys at a time.
Luka, Zion and *gulp* LaMello Ball are next.
Why the *gulp* for LaMello? He's been pretty good, better than expected.

1) SRS = Simple Rating System....Margin of victory adjusted by strength of schedule.
2) PHX and UTA are on pace to be top 100 all time in that rating.
3) The graph shows how many wins from the championship each team got. UTA and PHX are at the very top of the graph because they haven't gotten to the playoffs yet. The teams on the very bottom that all form a "line" are the teams that won the title. Then they have threshold lines for getting to the finals and conference finals.

Totally agree.
Gulping out of deep-seeded contempt for his father, who I find to be emblematic of everything wrong with modern American culture.

I’m glad you asked – I was too embarrassed.

The new Detroit GM has traded or released basically all players from previous administration. I think Doumbuya is the last man standing. All this in less than a year

Yup, Troy Weaver ripped off the band -aid that Stan Van Blunder had on the team. Detroit is a few years away from being relevant again, but he's giving them a new foundation to build on. He learned from one of the best in Sam Presti.
Damn I didnt think they would trade Dragic. Maybe then we can pick him up in the summer on the cheap.
