fucking Wesley Matthews  Dodgy
Looks like we may have to win our way in. It take 2 out of 3 wins to keep us ahead of the Lakers. We can’t count on anyone else. Just get the magic number of 2 out of the way.
If we can't make it to #5 then let it be known that I am not opposed to the #7 seed and the play-in tournament! Now that it's not looking like the Warriors at #10, I would actually prefer getting that experience instead of just getting whooped by a hungry Clippers team motivated after flaming out last year.

Either way, we don't have the talent to beat the Suns or Clippers in a 7-game series so might as well have the moral victory of winning the play-in.

LOL this team isn't winning any games in the playin.

Depends, is that other team above .500?  Big Grin

I'll say this - I think the Mavs have a better chance of beating the Jazz, Suns, or Clippers in a seven game series than they do winning any playin games. No shock value. I really believe that.
LeBron and AD both out tonight...

Unfortunately also basicaly all Houston starters out. And they are the worst team with them playing...

Lakers are back and the Blazers are unstoppable. Embrace the play-in!

We are one win away from securing 6th place over Lakers.
Next we play 2 lottery teams, one of them are tanking, the other is fighting tbf
Oladipo is going to have a season ending surgery on his quad.
Never understood why he turned down offers for extending contract.

Hopefully the Lakers win out and we end with a 3 way tie so the Mavs automatically get the 5th seed.
I think it would only be fair from Raptors to have the same approach against Dallas.

Problem with Toronto. If they lose against Chicago, they are locked in 7th worst spot. Raptors in full strength are dangerous

Zach and his agent need to do some historical research. Usually, the only entity benefitting is the team payroll manager. Unless you have something pre-planned (like LBJ, DW, and CB in Miami). At his age, he needs to maximize his base for future increases.

There is always the threat of that one injury that kills your earning power. Dirk did this some, after the championship, but his big contribution was letting DAL release his rights to clear space for signing FAs then taking whatever was left. There was never any question about him signing somewhere else.

Massive blunder imho, but seems like he has always had tunnel vision on playing in a high profile market after spending most of his career in Orlando and Indiana.

It is a shame he's been injured.

He did come into this season talking about wanting to get paid as a Max level guy. I was surprised he turned HOU's offer down, but maybe he wanted to be with more of a win-now team. Is this the same quad that kept him out for a year?

Yessir, the right one. He didn't rupture it again, Doctors just cleaning some stuff up supposedly.
