What don't you like about the fit with Zion? Defense?

I think on offense those two would fit like a glove.

Vuc needs to fit next to a defensive four who can rebound like Aaron Gordon ... er, nvmd.
Lauri for Ball makes enough sense contractually (similar money, both impending RFAs) that if the Pelicans were interested I feel like it would have been done already. I'd love to be the 3rd team that takes Lauri.

I LOL’d to this pretty hard. Thanks for that, cow!
Markennen, Zion and Ingram seem like too much overlap ... probably all are natural 4s and none really can play perimeter defense against athletic wings.   Who is guarding Kawhi or Jason Tatum out of that group?
Am I the only one sweating at the idea of the Nuggets - one of our biggest rivals in the standings - substantially improving their talent quotient?
BTW, Clutch, did I ever tell you that I love your sig? Never knew you felt that way about things! Warms my heart.
Beal messing with the entire NBA universe.

Really, Patrick Williams is an ideal fit next to Vuc.

Bulls seem to be going all in on a core of Vuc, LaVine and Williams .. though I wonder how far that ultimately gets you.

That's a great point. I know he's not ready right now, and I might be in the minority thinking he ever will be, but I believe Zion's future is at the 5. That's where his athletic gifts will truly cause havoc, imo. Defensively, he has been a disaster there so far, but if it were my team I'd just bite the bullet and declare that. Get the lumps out of the way.

If the rest of the roster can play defense, I'd say it gets you pretty far.

Because Dan knows that his true fit is here in Dallas. It’s our destiny.

I've been expecting it.  The two franchises who absolutely had to do something at the deadline were the Celtics and Nuggets.   Celtics had to use their trade exception or else they let Gordon walk for  nothing.   Denver has to make a move now.   They're going to have to pay MPJ a max extension in 2022, and then they'll be tied $100 million to just 3 players and will have no flexibility (unless they're just going to swap out maxes with another max who could potentially be a "better fit" out of desperation like Houston was at the end of Morey's run).
So, who is left: Gordon, Oladipo, Lowry, Powell, Ball, Markannen, Bledsoe and all the minor pieces like Ellington. I can see Mavs as stealth Oladipo buyers.
