I know some will call me crazy, but I've seen Bagley a few times this year (watching Haliburton) and MY LORD is he not a good player right now. I honestly don't think people realize how bad he has been, so far.

Hard pass from me until he reaches reclamation project status.

Now, if the prize is Haliburton (won't happen) and taking Bagley's contract is part of the price, I'm all ears. I realize this isn't plausible, it's just meant to illustrate how I view Bagley.

Good catch.

Not Cam Reddish?  The Luka trade equalizer...

Bleh

Is he not at that level already though...?
I don't think Atlanta can get Brown but if they do, hats off to their GM. I do think they need some egg on their face for Bogdan.

I'm not sure the Kings would be willing to take what I'd offer them but I'd do Green + SRP (or Terry) for Bagley.

Sorry to be vague. Sure, he's there, relative to being the 2nd pick in the draft. I mean when you can get him for a 2nd or sign him off the street at the minimum, kind of like the Mavs have done with Aminu or Brandan Wright. I think those days are fast approaching for Bagley. Some other team might pull the trigger and buy a bit higher than that, but I'm not enough of a believer to have any sort of FOMO about it.

Brown is an all star two way wing, locked for four years on less than max contract. I guess Celtics would consider trading him for Collins, Bogi, Raddish and all Atlanta picks.
These reports are funny.  Jaylen Brown has to be one of the most untouchable players in the league.

Agreed for the most part.  Celtics have been underperforming this year and recently had the dreaded players only meeting.  I think they'd try just about everything else before trading Brown.

I wonder if Kemba will get dealt.

Worse than some of the stuff we suggest. Absolutely love the reports about random end of bench players with negative value.
"Kings made Jabari Parker availabel in trade talks" Straight up for Luka or do the Mavs need to add picks?

At least 2 first rounders IMO...
Got the sense that the reason Magic rebuffed all Gordon offers previously is they didn't want the blowback if he reached his potential on another team after he was traded.   But now that he has publicly demanded a trade, that provides them cover with the PR department.    I think people way underrate how much stuff like this plays a factor in organization decisions and transactions.   "Career risk" is a huge factor with fund managers who handle many billions of dollars in the finance industry, why would anyone expect basketball GMs to be above it?

Then build the team around him...

I mean, honestly, I'm with the poster (I think Cow?) that said, with the values they place on their players how are they not champions.
Gordon is one of the rare guys whose value is actually down. He doesn't really have a great season and his improvement stagnated for several years. Collins would be very expensive twice. First in a trade where it would take a ton of assets and then matching some silly contract offer near or at his max. He is a good player, but not max imho.

Last week there was a report of him seeking $25M. He could possibly be worth that. It's on the verge of allstar money and he seems to be primed for an allstar bid with the right fit.

Ah I see. That is about as rock bottom as it can be for a guy like that. I don't know if Bagley will ever reach that low. But given his career trajectory it wouldn't be outlandish.

This means his trade value is low. I don't think Toronto will be willing to pay him that

NP is a super solid 'get'. Plays both sides of the ball.

Cannot find a single defensive metric that has him as a positive on defense and based on his reputation he is a bad defender. Basically a slightly more efficient THJ.
