i think the recent Mavs-Magic game was really telling the story when it comes to Vucs impact. Mavs couldn´t stop Vuc. Vuc couldn´t stop the Mavs. He provides zero rim protection, cannot defend the pick and roll or the 3-point line. Magic defense is 8.6pts better when he is on the bench.

RealGM Magic board seems to want a bunch of young wings for their guys on the block(Gordon Fournier and Ross). Their thinking is...grab like 4 young wings from teams that arent playing these certain wings and hope 2 work out(they mentioned Bey, Green and Terry).  Not saying Powell cant be added to a trade with young wings...not saying they want 4 wings for just Gordon(Gordon Fournier and Ross is who the posters were discussing)...and not saying RealGM is gospel.  

One said James Johnson and Terry for Fournier all day.

If this means anything...I dont know.

I have serious doubts about this rumor, but Green was actually the first thing I thought of when I read about the Powell for Gordon speculation.  They are a trade match, save the Magic some money and Dallas stays $963k under the tax following the deal.

And despite all those negatives, he's on a lot of teams wish list, in trade talks. Boston especially.

LMAO I just came to post that.  He played 2 minutes and just walked off the court into the locker room.  Unless they get word all these hurdles will be solved going to a playoff team, it sounds like it's time for Love to retire.

Mavs arent stupid.  They always say they love a player, especially if its a good dude, but it's like the HB scenario.  He sucks now and isn't worth the money.  THey were like let's get this bum outta here through back channels.

Feels like strategic leaks to have Powell's name come up in an Orlando rumor and a N. O. rumor on the same day.  To what end?  Teams know what Powell is.  Its not like the Magic GM is going to read that Powell might get traded to N. O. and think "oh, I better jump on this now".  And how is Powell roughly equivalent to Rubio given Orlando nearly pulled the trigger on that deal.  Did their need for a PG suddenly change 

If Powell were expiring, I could see saving $5 million and getting a rookie wing defender.  But, has Gordon fallen that far?  Or, do we have unrealistically low opinions of Powell?  Or, is this simply not true.  I suspect it is the latter, but don't mind at all if it is Door #1.
