Y'all see this dude?  He really let himself go this offseason.  Wow.

https://twitter.com/All_Things_Mavs/stat...0361075712

He looks more like Kendrick Perkins than James Harden.
Dude likes Atlanta chicken wings!!!

Rockets need to trade him for good picks and quality players so they can move on or this season will be wasted.

Doubt any team is going to give them a top 30 player for him now so get what you can and rebuild.
To keep your owner happy get under them tax ?
Watched the Bulls/Thunder last night and oh my god Justin Jackson was bad. Woof. Just a complete liability on both sides of the floor. I honestly don't know what he's supposed to do well. Sometimes you don't realize how much Luka and Carlisle bring out the best in players until you see them in another situation.

To be honest...He wasn´t any better in Dallas. He a nice floater but that´s not enough to make it in the NBA.
Yeah, I guess really the way that Carlisle "got the most" out of Jackson is keeping him off the floor if at all possible. He was starting for the Thunder last night. They could be really bad this year.

He outperformed all other players in the starting line-up. They combined for minus 19. JJ had -24. Roby also -22. Good night for the former Mavs. Cool

Pokusevski shot horribly, but still pulled down 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, a block. Worst case, he´ll be a shitty Andrei Kirilenko clone.

Give Poku a few years and he will be a stud.  Mark it.
Yeah, as someone who watched the actual game, he looks like he needs 3 years just in the G League.

Love that finish at the rim ability tho...

Thank you Donnie for not chasing the latest Euro-Wonderboy.
The Philadelphia 76ers are considered a potential trade destination for James Harden, but the team only wants the guard in a favorable deal, per Sam Amick of The Athletic.

"Sources say the Sixers want to see what new coach Doc Rivers can do with this new roster and have no urgency to pay anything more than a discount-aisle price for Harden anytime soon," Amick reported.

There's a new process in town, podner.
I'm kinda struck by how much Zach LaVine speculation there is but nothing on D'Angelo Russell, because if the Mavs are looking for another scorer and bucket-getter I think Russell could be had easier than Lavine. I think the Timberwolves are just going to be awful this year and are going to blow this up. KAT and Russell are going to get broken up.

Seems so soon to give up on that duo.
They are desperate to get into the playoffs because the extension clock in ticking on KAT. They can't play defense to save their lives and they have no chemistry. They signed another combo guard to a big contract in Beasley and Edwards ins a 2/3 combo more than pure forward wing. They're not intersted in rebuilding from the ground floor, so that is a situation where Dallas's strength of having depth of legit NBA rotation players rather than draft pick ammo could be more useful trade ammunition. I think D'Angelo is getting dealt.
Mavs don't like D'Ro.
I don't get this...  Towns and dlo are besties and were trying to get to each other.  Why would they get split before they even get one season together?  I admit that their lineup needs help.  They need to start culver, imo.  His O is suspect, but they need D.  They are easily looking like the worst defensive team in the league.  Towns is an amazing offensive player, and he does block shots, but he needs a strong defender next to him to cover for him.  Kinda see him as a dirk-lite player in that way.  He just will disappoint on the defensive end but is offensively amazing. J Hernangomez isn't a plus defender.

They have just assembled a roster that totally ignored the defensive side of the floor.  If Rubio is your only passable defender, you are going to get crushed. They also have too many players that need the ball to be successful.  It is a talented mess.

I think it's because D'Lo is a weird fit on a lot of teams. He needs to be the lead ball handler AND offensive initiator. For the most part, all western conference teams has that role set.

LAL-Lebron
Clips- Could use him but don't have any assets besides maybe Lou+Bev?
Suns-Paul+Booker
Mavs-Luka
Spurs- Timeline all off
Hou- Wall+Harden (for now)
Pels-Could use him and I think a realistic landing spot
MEM- Ja Morant
SAC- Fox
GSW- Been there
UTA- Donovan+Conley
OKC- I mean they have the assets, but they have Shai.
DEN- Murray

In the East there are more suitors but they are bottom dwellers and probably don't have what MIN is looking for.

BOS, TOR, PHI, MIL, ATL, WAS, BRK are all accounted for. Then you have odd fits but could work with Heat, Pacers, Chicago, and Pistons. Finally you have the teams craving for any attention with the Cavs, Hornets, Knicks, and Magic.

But I don't think the Wolves ship out D'Lo because of his relationship to KAT. It's all about keeping him happy.
I think you hit on good points. As you said, KAT is an overall defensive liability. DLo is a huge defensive liability, so they are way behind the 8 ball on defense with both of them on the floor. There was just a big lack of chemistry on the court last year as well. It's just a collection of bad fitting parts that will have to be broken up, and DLo is an asset that they can the most return for if they are going to try to keep KAT and build around him. The Beasley signing and Edwards pick don't make a lot of sense to me if they were 100% committed to the DLo and KAT core. They are good buddies, but having buddies isn't going to be enough to convince KAT to stay if they aren't winning. I also think it bears to keep in mind that KAT is reportedly dealing with a lot of grief with the death of his mother and other close family members from COVID, so I don't know how dialed in he is going to be this year. That's why I think things could get ugly for them real quick and they might be desperate to make a move by TDL if they're in the cellar in the West and KAT is in a mental funk. And with the clock ticking on the KAT extension, they don't have the luxury of being patient as other franchises typically would. I actually could see the TWolves being a dark horse come from nowhere candidate for Harden with a package around DLo for that reason (along with the Rosas connection)

Exactly. If they trade their 2nd best player and his best friend in this situation it could indeed turn ugly really quick, unless your plan is to acquire Russell to piss KAT off, so he demands to be traded, too.

Or maybe you trade your 2nd best player for 2 or 3 players who can actually play defense so you're not giving up 130 points and getting blown out every night, while clearing the way for Rubio to competently quarterback something that resembles a professional NBA offense and let the scorer you just spent the #1 pick in the draft on get some shots. While getting future 1sts and/or young players you can sell to KAT as a brighter tomorrow.
