@"Mavs2021", your boy Poku had a great game today and beat the Grizzlies.
If Toronto is in selloff mode I wouldn't mind getting in there.

Mavs won't do Rubio bc they want FA dollars.
Wendell Carter Jr?  His dad not happy with their PGs and made it known. Can’t see it playing well there given that his son has already lost the starting gig. The Mavs brass did like him.

Curious as to why? I read the article trying to figure out why you said that and while he is struggling really bad right now, that is exactly the time you strike to make a deal IMO. He's not available if he's doing well.

I wonder how much longer till Cuban says Donnie wanted to take Pokuiannis. I mean honestly, if you really suck at drafting and all you hear is that Sam Presti made a promise to the youngest player in the draft with the projected highest upside, just get that guy. What are the odds that 1.Presti ipicks wrong and 2.MBT picks right, at the same time. That's some next level advanced analytics. Big Grin

Carter would be a great buy low candidate
I said hard pass because of his own low self confidence in that article and dad making it worse through criticizing the team in the media. He was in the same draft class as Luka and seems to be someone who the team would have to rebuild from scratch.  Seems like too much work and I am not sure if this is the organization for that type of a project anyway.

If 12/8 with two assists and a block in 26 minutes is his floor, I sure like to find out what his ceiling is. Cool

If they were to sell this low on him, I agree. With the AG ask from Orl and trades returning such high value back, have to wonder if they would sell WCJ unless a team blows them away too. However, YES, give me WCJ in a dump trade! At worst, he can be a HUGE upgrade to any of our bench bigs.
Bamba, WCJ and even Bagley. All worth a gamble if they are buy low candidates. I do think that all three have what it takes to be solid rotation players in the NBA. Maybe they won´t live up to their draft hype but on a new team that wouldn´t be a problem.

Ya, the dad thing is a bit concerning, but I think if this team can keep KP's brother quiet during this seemingly high turmoil time, the hope is they can do it with others too.

The reflection on his own faults is refreshing to me. It's like KP when he comes off a bad showing. He looks inwardly as opposed to looking for excuses outside his own play. Players go through slumps in a long season.

To me WCJ has the tools and body type to be the perfect C in today's NBA. He had great College coaching as well. This would be a great reclamation project that RC does well with IMO.

I've been watching this game. It has been a mixed bag for Wiseman. The Utah approach was to get him to switch off off Gobert and then attack him with either Conley or Mitchell. He has handled some possessions really well and looked a step slow on others.

All in all, I think he's on an interesting upward trajectory with his development, and there's no question he has the physical tools needed to be great.
I'd give up something decent for WCJ.  Maybe we can pawn off Josh Green to the Bulls.

Bamba would have to be almost free.  And even Bagley I'm having a hard time envisioning his fit here.

You think Bamba has what it takes?  Seems really slow on the perimeter. The other two guys, whatever concerns one has, there is not a athletic limitation.  Even Gobert got taken out in certain series as teams went smaller.

So I read through a few Bulls forums also before the post and they kept harping on him just not having enough confidence in his game when he got mismatches and not even taking shots I am not sure if aggressiveness can really be taught.  Then again if the expectation here is to defend, rebound and score easy baskets on feeds by Luka...yes he could work out.

Believe me, after so many crappy picks who would not love it if we could get a 2nd team steal like Rasheed Wallace and Jermaine O Neil turned out to be. Not even stud, it would be awesome if he turned into a solid rotation player. However the team that drafted him 5th, want him to succeed, have now demoted him. Grass is always greener on the other side.  But yes the Mavs should and will definitely kick the tires on this one if he is available given that they coveted him if they had stayed put.

Spurts getting blown out.  Spurts sadly will still have a slightly higher winning percentage even though both teams would be 3 games over .500.

Bagley is a unique player that is pretty one-dimensional. The fit theoretically would be in the Powell role as a lethal lob threat. To be fair I don't know how effective he'd be in that role, and his defense is horrid. But he's shown flashes that he can actually be a good player in the NBA.

Needless to say I'm still holding my Bagley stock and wouldn't be opposed to a Mavs trade for him as long as the price is right.
Clippers are resting their guys after 3 quarters, being blown out in N.O.

They will be "fresh" for Dallas.

Portland lost as well.  If the Mavs win Monday, they are one game back in the loss column from 4th.
