Is there anyone else not liking the "Flagrant 2" the Ref gave out against Gillespie.

I think giving out flagrants for battling for position is stupid.
They should give them for plays that are dangerous. But then they don't.

Yes, I agree.  A win by the Pacers over the Lakers would simplify the Sunday strategy for all teams.  In that case (with Lakers locked in at #7), Portland can tank hard  against Denver if  Portland prefers to play Denver (instead of the Clippers) in the first round of the playoffs.

So ...

It's almost game time, and even though the Pacers really NEED TO WIN against the Lakers [because Indiana wants to be on the good side of the grand canyon between #8 and #9], I expect the Lakers to beat the crap out of the Pacers today.

Yeah, losing to the Rockets was not easy!   [Of course, the Mavs accomplished a similar feat on April 7 (and also on January 23), albeit under different circumstances.]
I still think the Mavs made a mistake not going after Drummond, he is looking better and better now that he is in shape after not playing for six weeks. Watching Drummond against the Pacers and he has 9 points and 9 rebounds and is opening up the paint with screens left and right for Lebron.

He is doing exactly what I thought he could do playing with a ball dominant talented player.
Pacers "scrubs" doing the Lakers so the refs step in

I want the Lakers to win but it is hard to actually pull for them.
I hate when LeChina and Gondo win...

So now half of the remaining possibilities involve us playing the Nuggets. Thanks, Lakers (throwing up in my mouth a little).
There are four possible scenarios that result in the Mavs and the Nuggets meeting in the first round of the playoffs:

1.
Mavs beat Timberwolves.
Lakers beat Pelicans.
Clippers beat Thunder.
Trail Blazers beat Nuggets.

2.
Mavs beat Timberwolves.
Pelicans beat the Lakers.
Clippers beat Thunder.
Trail Blazers beat Nuggets.

3.
Timberwolves beat Mavs.
Lakers beat Pelicans.
Clippers beat Thunder.
Trail Blazers beat Nuggets.

4.
Timberwolves beat Mavs.
Pelicans beat the Lakers.
Thunder beat Clippers.
Trail Blazers beat Nuggets.

The only condition that all four of these scenarios have in common is that the Trail Blazers must beat the Nuggets.

If the Mavs beat the Timberwolves, then the Lakers vs. Pelicans game will be irrelevant to the Mavs.

If the Timberwolves beat the Mavs, then everyone hoping for a Mavs vs. Nuggets first-round match-up will want the two Los Angeles teams to have the same result in their games on Sunday (either LAL and LAC both win, or they both lose).

That's what scares teams, are the Lakers sheer size. They can control the paint. If they had more consistent 3 pt shooting, they'd really be hard to handle. If they get healthy, I wouldn't count them out. They're still a threat.
Apparently both Chris Webber and Ben Wallace will be HOF in 2021 class

The other side of the coin?

If the Lakers beat the Pelicans, then the Mavs vs. Timberwolves game will be irrelevant to the Mavs (with respect to determining the Mavs' playoff seed and first-round opponent).

Yeah, if the Lakers beat the Pelicans, then the Mavs vs. Timberwolves game will be irrelevant to ALL TEAMS (with respect to playoff seeding).

Both are deserving. CWebb should have been voted in. Ben Wallace will be the 1st undrafted player to ever be voted in.

The two most important games of the day (from the point of view of a neutral NBA observer):

12:00 NOON CDT:  Washington Wizards vs. Charlotte Hornets

2:30 PM CDT:  Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies
