Must be something about the Clippers. First the Mavs. Now the Jazz. And it is raining 3s again. Jazz are a better 3-point shooting team than Dallas but Mitchell is making some impossible shots of the dribble.

Hey maybe if the Jazz sweep the Clippers without their All-Star starting PG, Kawhi will have 2nd thoughts afterall. Cry

Honestly would be the most Clippers ending.

His love for LA will be tested.

Kawhi is just "dead" after the first round series. People complain about Luka. But he is 22, and Kawhi is 29 and needs load management. His legs are shot the 2nd time in a row after ISO Kawhi ISO Kawhi. Last year Nuggets Kawhi had no juice left late in the series, now Utah same story.

Mavs made playoff Kawhi come out early two years in a row. Had Kawhi not busted his ass every game the Clips would've succumbed to Luka's brilliance.

I just think we're seeing the aftermath of that series and the Jazz are benefiting. Also helps they have probably the best defensive player of this generation in Rudy.
After three quarter. Clippers attempted 17 threes. Jazz made 17 threes.
Any interest in Reggie? He is a free agent

I wouldn't put it past Donnie to throw the bank at him. Maybe he's getting good enough that he deserves it.

FIFY
Kawhi looks scared out there...Mavs once again made him look unstoppable and then he comes back down to earth vs. a better team. Bojan is locking him down so he knows he can't get to where he wants to go on the floor to shoot because Gobert will be there too.

He's passing up everything because he knows he can't get his own shot off now

Incredible defense and he doesn´t need any help. Stays in front of Leonard against the drive. Absorbs the contact in the post.
Side note: Actually a lot of help. Big advantage of a mobile rim protector/help defender is that all perimeter defenders can play more agressive. Not the end of the world if they are getting beaten as long as they recover or make the right rotation/switch.
This series might be over...there are no 2 days off between games so the Clippers will continue to get worn down. Suns and Jazz look like the clear-cut best teams in the West

When the Pacers pushed the Cavs a long way, a lot of it was the defense Bojan played on LeBron. Of course in classic NBA fashion they got him and Oladipo into foul trouble, when it got a little too close for the King´s comfort.

Also as I said Luka actually played the best defense on Kawhi imho, but it was just 2-3 possessions, cause my lord what more can you ask of Luka.
And of course the Clippers end the game with some dirty plays.

Going right after Mitchells injured leg. Clippers do not get the benefit of the doubt. PG saw him coming and timed it perfectly.
Honestly all you need to do is make PG13 a jumpshooter and he´s completely useless in the play-offs. The Mavs could never stop him from driving to the rim.

Maybe Rick should have tried JRich on PG, and never change the starting 5 in the first place.

He did hold PG to 25 % FG in the last 2 years. PG ejected twice in games where JRich defended him during his career.

If Toronto will be targeting Holmes it means Lowry is walking without SnT. Toronto has roughly 20 mil of cap space if they renounce Lowry, Hood and Baynes and keep Trent.

Mavs wore them down for sure. Maybe they bounce back at LA.
