Can't say that I'll miss him at all.

Was SUPER puzzled at how much momentum he got for the HC vacancy here. I'm sure he has a great relationship with Luka, but in his 5 years here I genuinely can say I don't think he ever excelled in an aspect of coaching that made him stand out. If the Mavs hired him I'd have been incredibly skeptical in his ability to lead this franchise into winning basketball.

2 years in a row our defense was subpar (was it personnel or gameplan? Probably both) with Mose being the head defensive coordinator. I think he helped coach the offense this year and it was more one dimensional it has ever been under RC. Further apparently there was major beef between him and RC that inevitably bled onto the court and gave a subpar product.
The Finals suck. Giannis should be coming here this summer. Instead, we fired everybody and the only one coming is PJ Tucker and only for the shoes from Nico.

Happy Friday!

Even more reason not to give him an easier matchup. He started 2/8. Got a couple of easy looks against Teague and never looked back.

Happy Friday!

I honestly had no idea, who to pick between the two teams. Then I looked at their regular season meetings. The Suns won both games by only a point, but Giannis went nuclear both times.

47-11-5 with 17/21 from the line.
33-8-2 with 9/10 from the line.

If a healthy Giannis averages 40/10/4 with 26/31 (84%) from the line and they still can´t win a game, how are they supposed to win with injured Giannis on average FT shooting?

H2H this season is now 4-0 for the Suns, which means the zebras will come at them with everything in game three, like they did to the Mavs in 2006, to make it a series. They have to be ready to not have it snowball on their young team.

Coach Bud is horrible at making adjustments. If Phoenix gets game 3, Goodnight Irene.  Middleton, Lopez, or Holliday needs to pick it up.  Giannis is going to get his, even with poor ft shooting.

That's a step back for Brooks. Guess he won't let his ego get in the way.  Most coaches who've been in the big chair, won't settle for being an assistant.
So are the Mavs planning to hire any assistant coaches or did i miss all the news? I dont recall seeing a press conference either

Sean Sweeney and JJB are the only two announced as assistants.

Press conference is on July 15.

The passing is fun to watch, but I do see Ayton standing in the lane for 9-10 seconds without a shot attempt. Isn't that supposed to be illegal?

Would take either straight up for Porzingis and extra cap space.

Dejounte Murray would look really good next to Luka in the backcourt. His 3-point shot needs work, but the size, ballhandling, defense, and rebounding would be terrific additions.

I agree that trading KP for Murray and clearing another $16mm in cap space would be pretty tempting provided they have some good replacements lined up to take the money. Collins + Holmes starts to look achievable if they help JRich find a new home.
I wonder what kind of deal Nerlens Noel might get.

White, Murray, or Poeltl.....ALL IN on any of them.

And YES, for KP that would be amazing to get any of them.
