GSW lays an egg in Minny.

Sheesh.

They said he was outrageously talented, but troubled. He was available for literally nothing and has a relationship with Jason Terry. Of course we can´t bring him in, cause reasons. Imagine having Saddiq Bey and KPJ on rookie contracts right now. This franchise is just sad.

Last night we saw where this team would be without the fluke drafting of Luka. At the bottom of the league. Literally neeeded the best game of THJ´s career to bail them out. Also you remember the back to back fouls on THJ 3pt shots, when the Pistons were ahead. Most likely legitimate rookie mistakes, but maybe sneaky brilliant tank fouls.  Sleepy

I´m also starting to question how good Carlisle still is. We simply have no comparison. Maybe the Grizzlies or Thunder coaches would have this team on five more wins.

Not sure they are laying an egg. When we played the Wolves, they looked fantastic defensively for three quarters. Especially Jaden McDaniels, who defended Luka better than anyone I have evern seen one on one. Okogie and Rubio are legit defenders, too.

Add KAT getting over COVID and further removed from all the tragedy in his personal life. Edwards looking like a legit #1 pick after a rough start. Russell being healthy and available. This might just be who they are. They have started 7-29, but are 13-15 since.

They just lost to the 14th ranked team in the western conference after getting blown out in what Kerr called the most important game of the season.

I understand the Wolves have played a lot better in April than the other months, but GSW not winning there after making a big show of "the playoffs start now" is most certainly laying an egg.

Well I´m sure the Jazz considered the B2B with the Wolves a must-win to secure homecourt throughout the whole play-offs, but the Wolves didn´t care and beat them again. All the Wolves recent losses (except for the Kings B2B) have been to teams that are far superior: Clippers, Nets, Bucks. Boston needed 53 from Tatum and OT to beat them. Hardly that shocking that they could beat a 0.500 team.

Step 1: Start season well, win nice amount of games and raise price of your players.
Step 2: Sell everyone not in long term plan. They traded Diallo, Ariza, Hill, Ferguson, Bradley and received four second rounders
Step 3: lose more or less all games in second half of the season to drop in bottom spots

Minnesota didn't get the message, they are doing it exactly the other way around.

So is Detroit. Weaver was Presti's understudy at OKC.
Lakers feeling the heat, rushing LBJ back. A few days ago it was said he is out till at least May 7th, I think

Portland and Memphis both win tonight, and the Lakers are playing the Kings (you know, that team that's a cupcake for every other NBA team but the Mavs).

Win your games, Mavs, or face the (playin) consequences.

I absolutely love how poorly this aged.

LoL at the Lakers, but to be honest, this proves your point even more. The time for messing around is over, at least for now.

I apologize to the Suns... I can admit when I'm wrong  Tongue
They better be ready to play. Wizards have the best record in the NBA since April 1st. There is no room for error vs any team, trying to avoid play-in games. What's worst, you really can't rest your best players either (unless it's warranted by injury), with these tight schedules of games.  Lakers, Mavs, and Blazers are in a dogfight the rest of the way.
If Mavs win, they are in 5th.
If they lose, they drop to 7th.

That should get their focus - although focus doesn't guarantee they will be good enough to win. "Shoulda-woulda-coulda" time is over, and now it's "prove it" time. Should be interesting.
Spurs blow a 32 pt lead to the C's behind Jason Tatum's career and franchise record-tying 60 pts, in a 143-140 OT win over SA. He tied Larry Bird for most points in a game in franchise history.  Boston is a head-scratching team this season. OKC ended a 14 game losing streak against them the other night at Boston. They clearly should be better than they are, and the Evan Fournier trade has been a disaster. He's done nothing.
