Imagine if the Kings had a chance to draft a player like Luka.

Their problems clearly start at the top.
I didn't realize how terrible he was from 3.  I just thought 20ppg/6apg and "secondary creator".  But that 3% is pretty miserable at 24%... (even though the career is 31%, still crappy.)

Who, Fox?

Yeah, my opinion is that there's still some hope there of him being your point of attack guy on offense (though not as promising now as people thought coming out of the draft if your goal is to win a championship) and he's particularly good with early break offense, due to his speed. His off-ball skills aren't really at a place where I think he fits with Luka. Who knows, though? Players evolve.

But that's why I like (and have liked) Haliburton so much. He can do it ALL. He's the absolute perfect fit on a Luka team, imo. Secondary Creator? Check. Run the offense while Luka rests? Check. Off-ball game, complete with cutting, shooting and relocating? Check. Moves the ball with rhythm when off-ball, and to the right place, indicating a super high basketball IQ? Check. Good, multi-positional defender, including the point of attack? Check.
Fox is another candidate for the super athletic but terrible on defense category. I haven´t watched a lot of Kings games in the last couple of years (would be suprised if Kings fans watched them...) but as far as I can tell most Kings related media outlets mention the same problems. They also blame the system and question if it is possible to play good defense next to Bagley or Hield but also point out that Fox lacks fundamentals and is out of position or gambling for steals/rebounds instead of making the "right" play.

Totally agree KL. Those are amazing points. I believe as well that Haliburton would be the perfect fit next to Luka. If you could draw it up, the skills that fit next to Luka, it would be Haliburton. Of course for a player we could get realistically.

The cool thing is that at times this season Ntilikina has reminded me of him. Maybe a little worse on offense (but still way good enough) and even better on defense.

I'd still love to mix Haliburton in, obvs, but there's a chance they've already found one guy like that.

Can’t remember where I saw this, but whoever gave us the heads up about Voulgaris being on Simmons’ latest podcast: THANKS!

Truly interesting Mavs nuggets sprinkled in through pretty much the entire thing, not just the Mavs segment. I think it’s a must listen for anyone here!

Yogi Ferrell is close to signing with Olimpija Ljubljana.
That Lakers Kings game was insane.

Yet another overtime game for them. 5th of the season in 21 games. Triple over time too. Lebron played almost 50 minutes. Westbrook nearly 52 minutes. Yet the Kings pushed them to the brink and they crumbled near the end.
The Bucks are signing Demarcus Cousins.    He can't move anymore, but I think this could be a sneaky good pickup if he buys in to a limited role.

I would have sniffed around him if I was the Mavs.  Probably not a good fit here but could have been a short term fix.   Probably not and at this point in time Boban probably plays similar to Demarcus.

Demarcus can probably still get buckets.  I'd put him in my "Kanter role" and run my second team offense through him.

No risk pickup for the Bucks. He can still play in a limited role especially since Lopez hasn't played most of the year. Nobody talks about the Bucks and they are the defending champs. All you hear about is GS , Phoenix, and Brklyn as teams that may reach the Finals. When they get healthy, look out.
