Wonder what it would take to get Jerami Grant from Detroit?
Seems like a good fit with Luka and KP.

Correct. I would just change ONE piece if I could: KP. Though giving him a chance is fine by me with a new context.

Ok, makes sense.

So, my next question: Given that Harrison has complimented the roster that was in place when he took the job several times for both its on-court fit and economic flexibility, what makes you think he wants to turn it completely over? Are you assuming that he means the opposite of what he says, or that he would say those things no matter what, just to be nice (very possible)? Is ALL of your prediction based on the Chad Ford thing?

Further, if you disagree with it, why does the prediction not worry you?

Based on 1) Chad Ford and 2) my anecdotal sense that GMs tend to make the roster "their own" in the first 1.5 years.

It doesn't worry me because I don't think my opinion is necessarily accurate. I trust that Nico has WAY more information than I do and would be better at the job even if I had the information. So whatever he does I will give him the benefit of the doubt and I assume that I was the ignorant one (at least until evidence starts to stack up that points the other way).

So far my first impressions of him make me want to trust that he knows what he is doing. I am excited for 1) the organization and structure that he is bringing to the team and that so far he looks like he is a 2) good negotiator and 3) not going to do a move unless the team at least breaks even and 4) tackled what the numbers said was the biggest on court issue last year (JR).
A couple of low level moves:
- Chicago signed Alize and Stanley Johnson
- Clippers waived Ferrell
Interesting Masai quote: "We are not a team of 'now.' There are going to be growing pains, trust me, you know like, sometimes it's gonna be tough to watch but we know what's coming, we know we're excited about the young talent."

Can someone just waive Damian Lillard please?

I really like what they are building in Toronto.

They are a patient well ran organization.

Its going to be interesting to see what happens if they move Siakam which would open things up for the rookie.
I am sure he will be great for them Smile

The Bulls not offering a contract extension is definitely peculiar. There's no chance they think DeRozan is the better fit right?

If so Nico should be preparing a godfather offer for Lavine.

So many ways Mavs could use that TE...

Will CHI have any rights to Lavine after this season? Will he be a true FA?

Bird rights of course, other than that true FA
