Whatever this said, it appears to have been taken down.

Bower has been around. New Orleans, Detroit, he even coached N.O. during the 09-10 season.  He doesn't strike me as someone who knows what he's doing. His longevity in the league may prove otherwise. James Jones was probably pulling most of the strings in Phoenix.

If we could get him cheap I would love Bagley as a reclamation project.

I just can't see him ever succeeding until he learns how to play defense at least at an average NBA level. Dude has been one of the worst guys out there.

His offensive game is also so one dimensional. He has 2 moves, a lefty hook or a drive across the lane where he either spins to his left or throws it up with his left.

Maybe with Luka he'd actually fulfill his potential, given that all he'd need to do is jump really high and catch lobs.
[Fischer] The Philadelphia 76ers have been unable to get in touch with Ben Simmons this off-season to bring him in for development training.

Well 15/8 for somebody that has just two moves is pretty good.

Bagley also only has 114 games of NBA experience, so barely more than a full rookie season, so I don´t think many one-and-done college kids have NBA defense figured out at that stage of their career. The biggest concern with him and Bamba are the injuries, that just don´t go away. They always have something. Would be interesting to see their draft day medicals in retrospective.

That would be funny if true, since he said he didn´t want to play for Australia to improve his game.

Am I the only person that believes the ITK-journalists have some truce going on. We have all these fireworks surrounding Beal, Lillard, Simmons, but nothing concrete being reported. These guys probably won´t get much sleep between the day before the draft and 10 days into free agency, so they are like: guys let´s all take a vacation and on Wednesday we bring the big guns. Simmons is one of the biggest wastes of talent of all time. He should be a top 10 player in the league but he just doesn't seem to care at all about getting better. It honestly baffles me when people on here say we should trade for him. There's a clear pattern of an attitude problem and a lack of commitment to improve his game. That's not going to be fixed just by putting him in a new situation.

Mark my words, whoever trades for him is going to screw themselves for the foreseeable future because they're going to be spending 30% of their cap on a guy who can't even be in the game when it matters most and refuses to try to better himself.

I hate players like him more than most because he tricks front offices who are tantalized by his talent into thinking he'll finally commit to getting better but when it comes down to it, he won't put the work in.

If we gave up assets in a trade for him you might as well pencil in Luka leaving for the Lakers or something, it would be a death knell for this franchise.

I'd be all for it. If nothing else, watching Kings fans react to Luka/Bagley lobs would be entertaining.
I saw a few clips of a recent interview with Derozan with Shannon  Sharpe.  It certainly feels like he would prefer to play in LAL.

As much as I crave Mavs rumors this time of year and wish Dallas was a little more open, the way Miami persistently links themselves to literally every good player is pretty exhausting. There has to be some realistic middle ground.

But there are two sides to every conversation. I can't believe stuff is leaking for basically every team, just not for Dallas (other than Dallas is interested in every free agent available). I will be surprised if they make a considerable deal.

That's why I just chuckle when folks talk about trading KP for him and Buddy Heil_ .  KP last year on defense is equal to better than both of those guys' best years on D.

That being said, I'd love to get him on the cheap and see what he has, a la WCS.  Who knows?  But do you think Sacramento has regretted not drafting Luka yet??   Big Grin
