Is there any world where the Mavs could sign and trade THJ to PHI for Tobias?

Tobias at the four with Holmes at the five is very intriguing to me.

Here's where the Mavs could say...we'll take John Collins and his $27 million/year salary off your hands.  They have Collins replacement in Okongwu although he won't be ready to start the season.  But I'm sure Maxi could help at his $8 million/year salary.

How could the Mavs make room for Collins with the current deals in place?

So following up to my last question with another question - how would folks feel if the Mavs turned KP into Tobias Harris?  I have to think there is a third team you could find to make it work.

I am one who still likes the upside of bubble KP, but I do think Tobi could be a good fit from day one.  Plus you have Bobi and Tobi reunited.

I would feel decent about it. Not as good as just dumping KP for air, but at least Harris will play hard and not be a negative. If that's the best they could do, I'd do it, but it would have made a little more sense if they had been able to win Holmes (seems like they tried and weren't successful).

Ya, that may have been 1 of the 15-30 scenarios. Trade KP for Harris (3 team if Morey didn’t want KP) and get Holmes.

At this point I’d be pretty happy with a Tobi for KP move plus swapping DP/WCS for Dragic.  Not sure what the starting line up would be but I’m guessing something like:

Luka
THJ
Tobi
DFS
Maxi

That’s 4 decent shooters around Luka with 2 guys in THJ and Tobi that can create their own shot.  Tobi also adds some much needed ballhandling, albeit from the forward position.  You’d also be able to switch almost everything on D. Probably have to put DFS on the Lillards of the world.  If Kidd wants to run, they should also be good in transition.

Then off the bench you have
G - Dragic/Brunson/Terry/Green/Hinton
F - Bullock/S. Brown
C - Bobi/M. Brown/???

Offensively that’s ball handlers that can create in the guards and some decent shooting and def in the forwards, though not much talented size.  I’d hope the last roster spot could be filled with a decent PF.
