I remember him at Purdue. I thought he would have a decent NBA career when Portland drafted him. He could shoot the 3, and had a nice all around game. This is so sad as obviously he was battling other demons and was just 25.   R.I.P.

That is really sad.   So very young.  It was cool Dame stood up for him like that too.

He probably entered the NBA at the wrong time.   He probably would have had much better success in the 90s.   He was really strong down low but that part of the game is being marginalized and it was tough for him to find a footing.

Newspaper says he died of natural causes at age 25. Absolutely gut wrenching for his friends and family.

Cuban is going to add this to the file that contains a copy of Powell's current contract as evidence that he won that trade.

Surprising name entering the Hornets head coaching search according to Stein. Former Hornet coach Steve Clifford

To be fair, most of us thought this way.  I'm guilty.  Even if you want to be charitable about Wiggins and say you didn't think he was a bad baller, you at least thought his contract was terrible.

I think I was neutral on it because it was for D'Lo and if I remember right Minnesota threw them a pick too. I wouldn't even necessarily call that an L by Minnesota in hindsight though, they needed a shake up and so did Wiggins. They probably wouldn't have made the playoffs without that trade.

Since he's a free agent, Mavs are not going to be in the running. Too bad.

Why not S&T?

Needless to say, having a 2nd like Beal would put us in championship contention.

Can't S&T a player in because it hard caps us.  Given Beal's max contract we would have to shed roughly 1 billion dollars to get under the hard cap.

Same for SnT Kyrie then…

We're 31million over the 2022-2023 hard cap.  We'd have to shed that before we could have a S&T in?

Exactly!  There's a reason his teams have a better record when he doesn't play and the Cs got better letting him walk.
