Have we forgotten what Luka does in the playoffs? Sure Ja is no slouch there either, but Luka still bests Ja in literally every single category.

I think it's good to give Morant props for playing very well. Don't see why we're bringing Luka down to prop Morant up.

It's not about Ja vs Luka and who's better. They're both great.  It's about the teams and how they were constructed so Memphis is clearly better than Dallas at this point.

Bane pick was huge, and has dramatically improved them as a team. He is playing all-star level and wins games for them. But I really believe Dallas beats Memphis in playoffs, no doubt to me we are the stronger team. Luka is another animal in playoffs. Memphis has a better record now, but I think Mavs curve is pointing upwards.
It’s all about flavor of the month. A couple of years ago, Dallas with Luka was supposed to be the next to watch for team. Now it is Memphis with Ja.

This season’s win loss records need to be taken with a grain of salt due to unprecedented churn. Main thing is for teams to get into the playoffs. Once there, if healthy, anything can happen.

I enjoy watching Memphis. Lately I have enjoyed watching the Mavs more too as the supporting cast have started developing the mindset that they are not there to just be an afterthought to the Luka show. I hope this keeps going even with Luka and KP back. If so, I don’t fear any team if we make the playoffs.  Sure we won’t be favorites in a few of the matchups but we are not that far.

Well that escalated quickly.

Two injured stars, no picks. Yikes.

Also makes the 8-10 spots in the west very interesting for everyone not from OKC or Houston
Clippers wanting to sell pieces. Nothing on that roster we want. Unless we could steal Zubac.

Yes please.

Since his current contract pays $425k+ per game, that's a no brainer if you want him to play. Assume 50:50 split for remaining games it only increases his cost by $2500 per game.

Injuries and mostly Covid is going to determine who"s Champion this year.

I could see them doing that.

I wouldn't mind Batum.

You left out Stephen Adams who's out, and Dillon Brooks who's out with an ankle injury, and is probably their best perimeter defender.  If both teams are at full strength, not so sure about them beating them in the playoffs.  It would be an interesting matchup, to say the least.

They've got to be conflicted:  If he plays, the NBA looks like they aren't participating fully in The Social Good.  If he doesn't play, they miss out on the ratings and eyeballs that a superstar generates.
In a totally random coincidence, this comes out right after people start openly discussing Harris trades.

I have got 3 jabs so far but I have never understood this NY mandate. Visiting teams with unvaccinated players can play but not unvaccinated home team players?  How does that make sense?

From my understanding it's just the Nets ownership taking a strong stand
Kyrie could play but the Nets would be fined something like $1k to 5k depending on the number of violations. So nothing compared to his salary
