I find it interesting Woj didn't mention Miami as a destination for Dragic via buyout.   Wouldn't that be the easiest spot for him to land?   Miami is a contender, he lives there and knows the team.   It would be telling if Miami is not interested in him via a buyout.

Hmmm....good call....maybe he is "done" in some ways and won't be the same.
Carlisle blows a 21 point lead.  Haliburton had a lot of turnovers but that's to be expected being on a new team.  Otherwise he played well.
Dejounte Murray with a Luka like game 30-10-15 dominating his match up with Trae Young. Great talent.

Yep had my eye on him....but its too late now.

And ATL is a cluster.

So crazy how a team can seem so well put together one season, arrow pointed up, and then almost completely fall apart the next. Same thing is happening in NY. Wild.

I think they benefited a lot from facing a NY team with no playoff experience and a Philly team with imploding chemistry(and a classic Doc Rivers chokejob). They also got a temporary boost from firing their coach mid-season which isn't really a repeatable thing.

Bingo.  I was also never sold on Nate McMillan.

That's a long way to say "the Knicks don't have cap space and Dallas can offer more money." And that's before we get to the spin by omission where he ignores the fact that Dallas has been openly pursuing a 3rd initiator in order to imply that they now only want to keep two.

Looks like Carlisle is perfectly threading the hope while preserving the tank. Well done.

That Cavs team is tough and are the comeback kids.  I freaking love Caris.  He was money in the clutch.

And ATL is a cluster.

Just a really weird year for them.   Not sure what the fix is.   I thought they would move Capella this offseason and one of their guards.    Collins can look great at times but then you look at his box score last night.

They really should go for the playoffs but the bigger picture is to get a good feel for Hunter and Onyeka.  Their rookie Jalen Johnson is probably not ready, but in theory he may be a good 3/4 in time.   Bogdan has been disappointing and I am not sure Huerter is the ideal starter next to Trae.   I would think moving Capella and Bogdan will be a priority this offseason.   Can they find that good fit next to Young by moving off both.  Although they should really get a good feeling on Hunter and Onyeka for the rest of the year.

I know I was on an island, but I really wanted Harrell at the trade deadline.   1) because his asking price was cheap. 2) because he is a FA after the year.  3) because I think he provides inside scoring that this team desperately needs.    He may not be very playable in the playoffs, but who knows.    I just think as the season goes on our inability to create easy baskets besides lobs is going to continue to be an issue.   Harrell would not be a long term fix, but would just put this team in a better spot for the rest of the year imo.   He had a pretty good game last night for Charlotte.

My understanding is JC wants out. Look at his 4 games leading up to the trade deadline, dude was on a mission to showcase himself and get the hell out. Now first game after the trade deadline and he is stuck in Trae-Hell? Total dud.

I saw a tweet from a Phlly beat writer with a quote that led me to a different conclusion, recently. I'll try to find it.

Oh interesting.
Here it is, @"Kammrath". I'm not saying this is "case closed" but I have long felt like we were victims of aggregators around here regarding Collins and his problems with Atlanta. I think (feel like I KNOW) that his supposed beef with Young was really about LP, the old coach. He then led the group of players who tried to get LP fired, and management sided with him over the coach. I think he loves Young and loves ATL, and isn't very good at avoiding saying things that get turned into clickbait assertions that twist his intended meaning. That's my personal take on it, anyway.

If you read the whole thread, it will give you some context. The conversation is about trade rumors.
