Lakers - AD injury
Nuggets - Murray injury
Clippers - Kawhi injury

All that and blew a 2-0 lead in the Finals.

I admittedly would never feel bad for CP.  Going all the way back to the first nut punch on Julius Hodge, CP is just Grayson Allen without all the hate.....and with a HOF resumé!

I'm going to start keeping my comments to myself. You guys are brutal with your rebuttals.

I don't think Maxi was trying to chastise you...? I think he was just pointing out how the Suns had everything go their way last year and couldn't capitalize and then added a little bit regarding his feelings towards CP3.

Remember sticks and stones may break bones, but words can never hurt you (unless you give them the power to!).

Still early. Memphis has a run in them I think and can Minn continue to play with intensity throughout the game. This is a good matchup though.

Just as you said, MEM only down 7 now at the half. This series is a lot closer than I was expecting.
Minn totally fell apart after Memphis picked up their D. Wolves led by 26, and lost by 10. Like Chuck said, Minn has all that talent, and they make dumb plays at the wrong time. All those shots that fell early, stopped falling.

You called it. I think MEM had their biggest playoff comeback this game. What a victory for Memphis (and gut wrenching loss for MIN).

I've never liked KAT.  I just hate how he acts like he's done something.  D'Lo is confounding.  I think there was a game against us this year were he couldn't miss, but he's been mostly invisible in this series.  Ant's taken some bad shots but I'm going to write that off to inexperience.

It's hard to even know what Memphis really is at this point beyond they play hard ALL THE TIME.

But don't you realize he's the greatest shooting big man of all time??! He's averaging *checks notes* 17.3ppg/9.6rpg/1.2apg on 62%/28%/93

In a crucial game KAT also put up a scorching 8 points!

MIN really wants him to be the greatest shooting big man LOL

Continuing off of this:

I'll take things that didn't age well for $500

And then he sulks in the post-game too

Yeah that is not a great look for KAT.  8 points too?   Even if he is being double teamed and triple teamed, All NBA types need to go down swinging.  It will be interesting to see how he responds.

I have really enjoyed the playoffs so far.  Only wish I had is if the Boston/Nets, Golden State/Denver, Philly/Toronto and Heat/Hawks would have a little more doubt.  If a few of those close game would have gone the other way, things would be thrilling in every series.  I hope these series are all not sweeps on gentleman sweeps.

Wasn't meant to be brutal at all.  Last year CP just happened to have all the luck and couldn't get it done.  I was editorializing on CP because I have just never liked his bit.  He's a phenomenal player and a basketball savant.  He is also a dirty player and has been since his days at Wake...much like Grayson Allen who gets absolutely hammered every time he pulls crap that CP has been doing for 20 years.

With the Booker injury, wonder if the Suns are about to have the 2006-2007 Mavs moment.  Blow a 2-0 Finals lead...dominate the regular season the following year...lose to an 8 seed.

Don't do that!! We need you HDK!!!!!

Just ignore the brutal people

He's no Dirk. He should try to emulate THE greatest shooting big man of all time.

Interesting. I thought they were happy with him. It would also help him if he could have a decent center to work with Smile

Yeah this is a puzzling choice in my mind. CHA was starting to finally click this season and was 1 center away from being in the post-season.

I don't know what coach they'll replace him with now. Frank Vogel would be an interesting candidate.
The Suns' consistency just wears on teams
Never anything forced. A decent look every time down.
I am an admitted CP3 hater (full disclosure of he was a Mav I would love him).

Watching him close this game out is watching basketball genius at work. He is a true savant and one of the best to ever do it at the PG position.

I think the Mavs have two players with that type of basketball brain and of course a coach with the same gift.  I loathe the idea of having to deal with CP3 (and the rest of that team) should the Mavs and Suns advance.

But if Cubes is true to his word and opens up his wallet to keep JB, this Mavs team will be one of the smartest teams in the league for years to come.
