It's been announced Ja Morant is out for the rest of the playoffs with a deep bone bruise in his knee. Tough blow for the young Grizzlies.

Dallas upgraded their head coach, confirmed.
Holiday doing it all in the last minute. Three to tie the game with 42s remaining. Blocks and secures possession against Smart with 8s left. Steals the ball on the last possession.

Jrue was the perfect all in guy for the Bucks to pair with Giannis and Middleton.  He is the kind of player that would be perfect with Luka as well.  If we were going to pull the trigger early its a shame we didn't go that route instead of KP.  I wonder who our all in guy will be in a couple of years.
Dubs down by 50 in the 3rd. Now we can be more proud of that gritty 30 point loss last night.
Mavs need to take a page from the Grizzlies book. They are smashing GS 119-67 the end of 3rd qtr, again without Ja.  Both teams have cleared their benches. When Memphis gets some experience, like their gaining now, look out.

F’ing joke. Refs rubbing one off for Griz fans so they can feel better about themselves heading into to the off season. If game 6 goes like this for the Mavs, you can kiss game 7 goodbye. This league is so rigged.
Rigged huh? You can't definitively say that.  But I'm sure Vegas would rather have a GS/Phx WCF.
Bane is +46 tonight.

Definitively? It’s not a fix. Just a handicap. Can’t be completely fixed. But it’s a long, long way from even handed.

Thanks for clarifying. Thought you were saying the fix was in.

If you watch how the refs have been officiating games, you can tell the NBA is trying to get these series to go on as long as possible. And it wouldn’t surprise me if the Mavs end up benefitting from that tonight just so the NBA can promote a game 7.

Maybe. If these series are extended, of course there will be more revenue for the league. But they also have a schedule to meet for when they expect the WCF, ECF and Finals to start. The Finals are slated to start June 1st. I wouldn't be shocked if Miami and Phoenix won tonight,  Philly and Dallas also could force 7th games. We'll see.
There are a bunch of factors that feed into what’s best for the league. And disguising how much they put their thumbs on the scale is part of that. But when a team wins by 30 after dropping 2 or by 40 without their best player, experience tells me the officiating pendulum is likely to swing back the other way.

I have always liked Jrue, but I really thought MIL paid too high of a cost for him when the trade went down. Man, was I wrong. I think they're going to get two titles out of it, personally.

If you tried to create Luka's perfect backcourt running mate in a lab you'd probably just wind up with a Jrue Holiday clone.

Desmond Bane would've been a good one, too, no?

Sure would have, I think Jrue's playmaking is a level above Bane's though.  That combination of defense/playmaking/shooting is just so hard to find.

I would actually put Dejounte Murray and SGA as two more nominations in there.  Sucks we're in the same division as the Spurs because I have a feeling right when we reload all our assets is going to be around the same time the Spurs are about ready to cash in by trading Murray and go full rebuild.
