Ouch, the NBA did SA dirty! They play GS on Sat, Mavs on Sun, then the playin game on Tuesday. Three games in 4 nights! NOT cool.

Think you read that wrong. West 9th vs 10th is Wednesday. So two days off between end of the regular season and their play-in date.
Is this Jordan brand doing a solid for one of their guys?

I think he's going to break out this playoffs

Well, Carlisle must’ve agreed with you. But I sure don’t. 17.7 points per 36 seems to me like getting your shot off just fine. Stuck on the bench games 5-7 is what kept Jalen from getting shots. Not the Clip’s D.
Anthony Slater: Klay Thompson, Otto Porter Jr. and Andre Iguodala won’t play both sides of this weekend’s Spurs, Pelicans back to back.Steve Kerr said he hasn’t decided which side which player will rest. May split them up.

It makes no sense to me.

CHA has desperately needed a defensive minded center for years now. What do they focus on instead? Trying to bring in one of the most ball dominant guards of all time that also is a turnover machine who can't defend to go along with their other 3 ball dominant guys that are all looking to score.

The only feasible way to do it would be to get off of Hayward, but if that's their goal then I'm sure there are plenty of teams interested. Heck I'd like the Mavs to try and snag Hayward if he was that cheap.

I think Westbrook can still ball a little as long as he is the primary ballhandler for 36 minutes. He simply has to be in the middle, running downhill. It was just 12 months ago that he dragged that Wizards team into the play-offs by going supernova. Just makes no sense for Charlotte. If Sacramento wants to make the play-in so badly, they should swap the Fox for Westbrook.

LeBron playing matador defense and chasing the scoring title reminds me of the Kobe retirement tour, when everybody swore Ingram, Randle, Russell, Ball, Hart and Zubac were bums, so Kobe had to do it.

Without the fluke interruption and bubble that hid Bron´s age and AD´s weak body, that experiment would have ended with four missed play-offfs/1st round exits.

Joker may have wrapped up another MVP with this. The dude is as transcendent a player as there ever was, especially as a big.

OTOH, the big question is still likely to be if the role players can step up around Luka, when opposing defenses get much tighter. Can Brunson improve from his disappointing first playoffs? Can Dinwiddie do what KP couldn't and lead the offense with Luka resting? Can DFS, Bullock, Green, and Maxi hit enough open 3s when we need them?

That will always be the 64 dollar question.

He IS the MVP, just a question of whether he will be acknowledged as such.
Utah is looking pretty dialed in this game.
Regardless of where the Mavs' finish, this game versus the Suns is exactly why I would prefer to face the Jazz first. They are an incredibly bad clutch team. Denver is obviously a handicapped team but they still have the MVP.

Ya, another collapse from Utah.

I will say, I saw so many moments during the game that Rudy was almost fully open in the lane with his hands up and the Utah guards just ignored him.
So Utah has the tiebreaker vs. Denver... and their last game is vs. Portland, so it's going be extremely hard for them to lose that game, even in their current state.

In that case, 3rd or 4th finish is probably win-win for the Mavs. 3rd and we avoid the Suns' bracket, 4th and we get to play Utah first. Worst-case scenario is finishing 4th and Utah manages to lose to Portland, forcing us to face Denver 1st and then potentially the Suns if we win that series.

Jazz has some issues. If they flame out early in the playoffs, changes are on the horizon.
