My lasting memory of Darvin Ham will always be him shattering the backboard against UNC.

He's paid his dues. Been Coach Bud's righthand man forever.

Embiid is out indefinitely with a concussion and orbital fracture in the eye and jaw from Paschal Siakam.
Another great entry in the long line of tweets in which Vernon Maxwell basically owns Utah. If you're not familiar with the history here, I highly recommend brushing up on it. My guy is HILARIOUS.

I also thought this was interesting. He must be watching Bane tonight.

Ha, I wasn't familiar with Maxwell and his history with Utah until now. Dude has some funny tweets!

Let's hope the 2011 similarities don't stop in the first round.

I don't recall being all that hopeful we'd beat the Lakers prior to the series starting.  Then suddenly we played well and they imploded.

The same with OKC. Nobody expected them to beat them either.

There were times  when the  Portland series looked grim  (Brandon Roy's last grasp of rarified air).   Then there was no way we'd beat the defending champs with Kobe.  And OKC was far to athletic and explosive  for  us.  And how the heck are we supposed to compete with the big three?

And then magic happened.  Peja and Jet going unconscious from deep for one for a game, JJ getting arm checked into oblivion, JVG demanding that Ibaka name his first son "Dirk", timely shots from the far end of the bench like Ian and  Custodian, the irrational confidence of Stevenson and Jet, the steady defense of Trix and Tyson, Kidd showing old dogs can learn new tricks (shooting from deep) and of course "NoWinSki" coming up big time and time again, especially late.

Same year. Game 5 of the finals, when JET put that 3 right in Lebron's face to seal the game and, basically, the series.

IIRC, all the NBA talking heads had DAL as the team "everybody wanted to play" because they thought the Mavs were old, soft and beatable.

But you could see the confidence growing with each playoff success and once they got up 3-2 on MIA you could feel it in the air.

DAL was 3-0 agains PHX this season. Two were on consecutive November games in PHX and the last was in late Jan. We all remember how out of sync the team was in November and the late January game was just getting Luka back and working through COVID issues.

PHX is good, but so is DAL. And they haven't played THIS DAL team, yet.

How's that for a little homerism on a Sunday?
Celtics apparently spent too much time reading their own press.
