I find it absolutely nonsensical a team like the Lakers last year can wait nearly 2 months to complete a mega 12132 team trade because it benefits them.
7 days max should be allowed to work out ANY details for a trade. If you can't get it done in 7 days it's obvious you're abusing the system and taking advantage of a loop hole.
Officially those trades aren't agreed, so why and how would NBA intervene?

Which is fine by me. If it takes an extra week or two to announce the trade then whatever.

That's a good point and the answer is they couldn't. Which effectively means they can't really do anything. I will now go find something else to be grumpy about.

Paul Millsap before he signed with Atlanta.

Yeah. I really wanted them to sign Randle at the time. Thought he would be a great fit and wanted to be in Dallas.

One of them. The DAJ summer has to be one of the worst in Mavs history. 23m for a washed up big instead of locals like Randle or Smart that both wanted to return to Dallas.
I know most athletes are pretty delusional but Ben Simmons is really taking the cake here.

In the sense that he thinks he has any leverage after his playoff performance. He seems to see himself as one of the best in the league and he is quite far from that at this point.
