We're talking about the same Kings that just traded away the one player on their roster they weren't supposed to, right?

I for sure think either Barnes or Holmes gets moved now, or at least that they'll try. Maybe both.

They have the contracts for Simmons-Harris with Fox-Barnes-Bagley or Holmes. Not sure Philly would be enthusiastic, but they can include more teams into it.

If rumors are true and they want Ben Simmons, a package of Barnes/Holmes or Barnes/Bagley works nice.   No reason for 76ers to want Holmes with Embiid. I wonder if we could work into a 3 way where we give up Maxi and end up with Holmes.

I could see them talking themselves into Sabonis at the 5 and Harris at the 4.

Yeah they might aim for another big trade, but certainly not for THJ. They also traded Thompson, so right now their big rotation is really light. Given that they are currently tied with the Pelicans for the 10th spot, so they are not punting this season either.

I´d be shocked if Fox, Barnes, Holmes was enough player value for Morey straight up. Maybe it´s enough for the Nets though and it becomes a three way deal.

Holmes also doesn't work with KP or Powell, so I am not sure why we would do that
Turner seems pretty happy this morning. Early info on the Sabonis deal, or on his own?

I think Holmes would work as well with KP as Powell does but I would also prefer KP to get moved if we were bringing in another big.

Holmes is Powell on steroids. I think he works better with KP than Powell does.

They have endless line of centers as it is. They have Len, Jones, Metu (small ball center) and Queta on 2-way. Losing Thompson is nothing

I'd say getting rid of a Kardashian is something.

But Powell didn't work with KP trying to post up. Holmes makes sense if we move KP

Powell doesn't work with KP, that is why Mavs have (finally) stopped playing them together

That lineup combo didnt work. But if we're talking roster management. I'll take Holmes over Powell any day and let it figure itself out.

I agree with @"Nowitzki Way" that it's more about roster management.  I did say that I'd prefer KP not be here in that instance though...
I don't remember another year when so much happened this far in advance of the deadline. I think this probably means that a Simmons deal is at the 1-yard line and everyone knows about it.

Totally agree......EXCEPT the possibility that everyone knows BS isn't going anywhere. I think it is one of the two and most likely it is the scenario you put forward.

Harden for Simmons trade where they are just haggling over draft assets?

I thought the Mavs had a chance to sign him (Holmes) in the off-season and passed?   Anybody remember why we did not make any known effort to sign him then?
