This is interesting to me as a Mavs fans.

I said during the trade deadline, Collins was a extreme longshot via trade but the Mavs would have no chance when he hit RFA in the summer.   It just didn't make sense for ATL and this was before their run.

But long-term, Collins could be gettable.    Their first round pick last year is out for the start of the season but he showed flashes.   Hunter also showed flashes when he was hurt.   And they have a few other younger wings who could have plans in ATL future.

So if ATL takes a step back this year (they still look well positioned, but making the conference finals again will be a tough road) and if their young players look promising, I could certainly see them sniffing around moving Collins.

The Mavs could offer next summer Maxi (non Guaranteed), Powell (6 million guaranteed) and future draft picks and/or josh Green.   May not be the best offer they get but they could create flexibility in salary and pick up some future assets.  Something to keep a distant eye on.

That's a great idea. Gallo would certainly fix the bench scoring problem. He'd fill that role that we projected Lauri could fill. He's overpaid but his contract ends much sooner, 20.5 this year and 21 the next thats only partially guaranteed.

If the Mavs could snag a 2nd or maybe if we're really pie in the sky dreaming a guy like Reddish to take on Gallo's contract I'd be all over that. Especially if we could simultaneously move off some other money like Powell or Burke.
Of all of the players that are available for Trade, Ben Simmons is the guy that I want. Pairing him with Luka is very intriguing.

You would have two dynamic playmakers gives me glimpses of MJ.

Simmons would make the game so much easier for Luka.

I know its not likely but hoping is all I can do at this point.

I like Simmons, although I think he is overpaid. But I don't think there is any way Dallas could trade for him. Even if we could theoretically dream about it, it would take KP and a bunch of assets, imho. I don't think trade like that would make sense for Dallas.

I´m not a huge fan of Gallinari´s regular play-off disappearing acts, but a package of him/Reddish would be great.

Also have to factor in that not only is Huerter due an extension next summer, but so is Reddish himself very soon.

Hawks simply have too much talent. Big Grin

Nets are loading up. Probably means Jordan is gone.
Is the tampering investigation still going on or what is happening with that?

You didn't get the memo?  It's been swept under the rug...
DSJ sighting. Although it's kinda crazy how addicted the Blazers are to guards.

Would have liked to add Milsap, but he's ring chasing.

I feel like every trade MEM has done this offseason has been a downgrade.

Further more, with every trade they have more players on the roster... Smile Will they buyout Dunn? That would be a cheap pick up for a back-up PG

He´d immediately become our best perimeter defender assuming he has retained his abilty through all the injuries. Even if  he can´t shoot, his defense and play-making would be welcome additions at the minimum. Though he´s also the type of grit&grind player Memphis might just try to rehab themselves.
Memphis has now 18 players under contract (not counting exhibit type deals!) so 3 will have to go. Only Merrill is non guaranteed.

16 players under contract now, 3 not guaranteed
