The Celtics are probably still thrilled with Brogdon.   But the Pacers should be pretty happy as well.  They got a first round pick which will probably be the last pick in the first round.  But Nesmith was also acquired.   I didn't see anything from him promising in Boston, but he is showing a pulse and may wind up being a nice piece for Indy.

Really weird Williams wasn't getting any minutes until recently for a team going nowhere.

That's what I think.

What else could it be? They dumped a guy on guaranteed contract to free a roster spot. Is this Champagne guy so bad and they are eager to sign another end of bench guy instead

edit: I rephrased a bit
Or legal issues.
NBA suspensions for physical violence are a joke to be honest. Things like Bynum on Barea (after already putting Wallace into the E.R. with the same move) and Hayes should be a minimum of 20 games. What more can you possibly do than punch/elbow a defenseless person from behind to the most vulnerable spot in the human body. Athletes are lucky sports courts seem to be like foreign embassies.

If you look at Toronto’s dead money, they are quite willing to pay for tryouts.  Champagne is $825k guaranteed now, but on 1/10 another $817k guaranteed (Spotrac).  The question to me is why 12/30 instead of 1/9?
LeBron scores 47 pts, 10 rebs, 9 asts on his 38th birthday in a 130-121 win over Atlanta. How old is he again? Lol.

Thing is ATL was right there. They could've stolen it but Murray threw it away and then Trae threw it away.

Hawks look broken as a team.

Lebron is crazy. I'm convinced he's on the best steroids known to man. It is not normal to be 38 and doing what he's doing.
Interesting to know you can punch someone in the back of the head and only miss 3 games for it. No reason not to send an end of the bench goon to try and take out the best player in a playoff series. Like in hockey where you can fight and just miss 5 minutes or whatever it is. Albeit that one its at least a fair fight.

Never understood how you can beat the shit outta someone in hockey, and get 5 mins in the penalty box with no fine and in the other 3 major sports, they get fined and suspended, losing large sums of money in the process. What's fair about that?

Wagner could press charges.  That probably breaks some unwritten code amongst players though.

There is no way anyone could change my mind. He is doping.

The only other option that COULD make sense would be they would like another option and want the 3 weeks to find out without having contracts fully guaranteed.

Hoping it is a trade...

BTW I missed a Mavs trade this year before my annual trip to AAC. I ended up with quite a few Porzingas jerseys because they clearanced in phase with my Christmas break pilgrimage.

There ain't a Jalen Brunson jersey to be found.

Only thing I can think of is it's WAY harder to have a proper fight landing direct blows doing it on skates, than it is on solid ground. Most of those fights the blows barely land, and end with both players getting more into awkwardly wrestling each other and just falling over before the refs intervene.
