I'm thinking the best playoff matchup at this point would be Memphis.

Clarke out, and potentially Ja out for the rest of the season.

They look like a team in a free-fall.

Well Ja is for sure out for the next 4 games. Mavs might have caught a break here. Hopefully they capitalize.
NBA these days comes down to who is healthy.  Kinda sucks.

I had the Bucks as favorites to repeat last year and then Middleton went down.
You remember there were reports the Mavs liked him?  Why not throw a low contract at him next year.  Two year deal for a developmental guy.  Not sure if he ever becomes a legit nba player but he is still 19.

What a run by the Lakers.   No Lebron and Davis had an off game and they still win.   They are going to wind up playing the kings in round 1, aren't they?  That is going to give Kings fans PTSD.

Anyone have confidence in the Mavs getting similar value in a future trade of an expiring and a protected first and getting 3 useful players?   I am just hoping for one.

Don't underestimate them. They're still top 5 in defense.
The Warriors upset the Bucks in OT, 125-116.  No Giannis.  Dubs are 28-7 at home and 7-26 on the road—one of the worst road records ever for a defending champ.

Hope he gets his life straightened out. He's a premier talent....
Look how he's holding the powerade.  A habitual brandisher, if you will.  In all seriousness, I think he'll be fine even though I don't really care.

Some juicy quotes in here:

Quote:John Collins said. “This one has been one that (is), in the best way, just drama. Just like a soap opera, you know what I mean? This, that, what’s going on? Nobody even asks me about basketball. Everybody asks me about the show.”
I mean he did break our hearts but this seems a little extreme.  Heck…lock him up Smile

Klay Thompson has 33 pts at halftime and has made 8 3's, as the Dubs are beating Phoenix 75-58. Warriors have already made 14 3's and Klay has 8 of them. He may break his own record of 14 made 3's in a game. Who said this guy was washed?
Eugene has had solid games for Detroit the last 4 games.    Wiseman has also put up some good numbers since arriving in Detroit.   Detroit is throwing some odd lineups out there but the dice roll on Wiseman may prove to be smart.

I wonder if the Wiseman move makes Stewart available?  Is he the right fit here for a big man?  Would you be wiling to give up assets for him?

I'm from Detroit and I follow the Pistons closely as my second team. Eugene Omoruyi has really played well for them. I think he's a keeper and Detroit will sign him to a standard NBA contract, waive someone and keep him after his 2nd 10-day is up. He hustles, rebounds, plays with energy, and has a really decent shot and post-game. Dallas had him and let him get away (sounds familiar) Really surprised OKC waived him, but they have good young players and draft capital, so it's understandable they can't keep everybody.
