DFS played so well. He hustled like crazy. Biggest surprise to me though? Ben Simmons. He actually played with some umph this game.

Dinwiddie also played well. Joe Harris is a sniper!

DFS was +32!

the main one is in the witness protection program at the moment, but we'll find him...we'll find him
Seriously though, amazing start for Doe and now his team and Nets fans will love him.

I'm always happy when we provide value to teams we're trading with.

Keeps them willing to do further business with us. Unlike Mr. Ainge.

I wish this was true, but Ainge has made more deals than we have in quite a bit.
Good for the kid.  Appears to be a hard worker and a good kid.

A shame we couldn't have found a way to keep him. He clearly had a place in the league from day 1

And as far as positional need goes he would be exactly what the Mavs are missing. 6´7/240 forward.

And he had ball handling ability.

Quote:Payton, according to sources, had been playing through pain in Portland. Sources added that the Blazers training staff had been pushing him to gut through it, giving him Toradol shots. This had not been relayed to the Warriors during the negotiation process.

Well there's a reason why a lot of players have been hating on POR...
So let me get this straight.

Portland fired their last GM for "violating the team's code of conduct" by promoting a toxic workplace environment. Rather than cleaning house, they then hired an internal candidate who proceeded to play a guy against his medical best interests and lie to other teams in trade negotiations.

What the hell is going on in Portland?

Bad look for Portland's medical staff. Giving him injections without being forthright to GS?  Heads should roll.
The fact the Warriors med staff thinks he should sit out 3 months to recover makes me wonder the damage the Blazers potentially subjected to Payton by giving him those pain shots and making him play through it.
Looking around the games, and picking up on my RJ Hampton off-season suggestion. He´s not exactly the veteran help you might be looking for, BUT since he´s an UFA this summer AND the Magic declined his team option for 2023/2024 AND he has played 50 total minutes since Dec. 1st, I wonder whether he´s actually a sneaky buyout candidate.

Also how about that Mavs/Suns G-League franchise in New York. Big Grin
I have to say that the Nets are going to be a fun team to watch on LP.  They are starting SD/Bridges/Cam/DFS/Claxton.  All arms on that team.  It is amazing to watch.  First game together with four new starters and they gave the Sixers all they could handle after beating the Bulls shorthanded last game without bridges/cam.

I hate to say it, but if you magically put Luka on that team, they win a ring this year.  It is his dream supporting lineup with more defense/Shooting off the bench.  Just lacking shot creation.

I'm glad the Mavs don't play them again this year!
